As a mother of two girls let me just say she is correct - the proper way to really make sure your family and home is lice free is weekly treatments and lots and lots of sterilizing Including sheets towels etc and worst is taking your kids stuffed animals away from them only to be in lock down for a week or more in a sealed bag after being sprayed too. Had they not done it for a month , it could re appear. Happened to us a lot because they never found out which family sent their kids to school without treatment over and over. It's a nightmare!

I will never get over the head lice. My daughter used her friends brush. When I told the girls 5 and 9 years old. When I said " do not panic it is fixable....you both have lice....." My oldest slid down the wall as if shed been diagnosed with cancer. They both burst into tears. And my youngest said.... " momma we are going to xxxxxx's house and we are going to punch her in her guts!!!!!!!" I couldn't help but laugh which just infuriated and escalated the whole ordeal. I never got them

She's right about the googling lice lady. I did it and they are out there in many places as the lice lady! My kids had head lice when we lived in Florida and what a horrid experience. My daughter had waist long hair and I had to use a lice comb to get all the nits out, then wash everything in the house and all the linens, oh it was awful. Thank God my sons had short hair.

Guess I could've been called the lice lady , when my kids got it some other kids in neighborhood had gotten it to from same school and since I was outside treating my girls , the neighbors one by one asked me to do their kids. I didn't mind I felt horrible for the kids because they get shunned and it's not their fault. I was teased by my own family when I got it as a kid. My mom just shaved all my hair off.

Oh yes she did my hair was so long past my knees then and she couldn't keep up with combing it all or get them all so she had it all cut off. I'm the only girl and I don't think she knew what to do. Hence why I would go out of my way to help kids when I became a mom and kids got it .

LMAO rich ppl having lice. I have had lice a lot of times as a kid, this is what my mother did: Either she put 'onion' juice in it, vinegar, olive oil or whatever she could find in the kitchen. Sometimes she straightened it to kill the eggs. And it worked. Cheap and working, thats how we like it.

I’m a former educator,I’m also a retired nurse,I started teaching after I retired from my nursing job. I worked with special needs children in a third and forth grade combination,one little girl would get head lice every single year ,I would have to call her mother give he4 the instructions as to his to treat it but all her mother would us dye this sweet little girls hair,long story shirt,I became the official “ lice checker “ for the entire school. We had one teacher I will but provide his name he knows who he is ,he was paranoid about getting it,so I played a dirty trick on him about the forth time several of his students got it,i taped a “ nit “ as they are called to piece of paper and told him that after it checked his class I found this on his desk ,he freaked out ,lice is nothing to mess with poor Jennifer .
