@LaLunalovegood she may not have the biggest voice in the music business, but she sure can sing. People think that singing means to have a big, loud voice and scream like crazy like Mariah or Aretha do, but this doesn't define what sing is all about. If you listen carefully to some of Jennifer's ballad songs, you'll realise that she does have a beautiful voice. Just check out the song she wrote for her twins called "One Step At A Time". Her voice is amazing! Seriously.

Firstly vocal pedagogy is an objective science, it's a matter of fact, not a matter of taste, so you cannot have an opinion on it. Secondly I never stated that one can only be a good singer by having a wide vocal range, so please do not misrepresent my point. What makes someone a good sing is their ability to vocalize a correct pitch, support their registers, achieve resonance, sing in the masc, execute correct musicianship. Its not hate to demand skill from those who claim to be singers

Vocal technique is objective, you cant have an opinion on it, its either right or wrong. Appeals to authority are logical fallacies, we judge the voice based on the merit of its technique, not what other people claim. Calling a voice beautiful is a reference to the timbre of someone's voice, an inherent quality that has nothing to do with how well a person can achieve ressonace, vocalize a correct pitch etc i.e. VOCAL PEDAGOGY which is the point of my very simple coment

But I have heard Jennifer Lopez sing ballads...she honestly cannot sing. She just projects her voice. And her notes are usually too sharp or too flat, it can get a little uncomfortable to listen to unless it's autotuned. Obviously, you have the right to your opinion, but I was just refuting the notion that gr.populous agreement validates talent
