The problem with alcoholics, addicts, clinical depression is they can be a great person and you can love them very much, but the disease is always lurking. It will not just go away and it can be very wearing. It always must be delt with or managed in some way. It is tricky because you cant necessarily see the disease and it manifests in insidious ways. Im afraid Jennifer is heading down another path. She is about controlling manifesting her life and being disciplined, but you cant control that. She will probably have to walk away again. There are a few who are able to manage it. You can be with an alcoholic your whole life and love them. Who knows. Maybe Ben can be one who makes it.

Many alcoholics can remain recovered for the rest of their lives. I believe Ben is in a much better place and able to manage himself and I am sure they discussed this together. He is older, much wiser. Knows and understands his responsibilities and also to his children, to JLo and her children. I have a feeling that he had an epiphany and said it is now or never with this. I have one shot at happiness and this is it. Ben needs to own this one and he can do it.
