I don't understand why everyone gets all up in arms when she doesn't mention Selena. I get it, that movie was her first big break, but J. Lo could've easily been pushed into oblivion afterwards, but she wasn't. She's worked her ass off to get to where she is and not everything she does has to be a direct "thank you" to Selena. No she's not the best singer or actress, but she took what she had and pushed herself to do the best she could and that's why she's being recognized in this ceremony. I was and still am a huge Selena fan, but I applaud J.Lo for what she herself accomplished. Those of you who think otherwise need a wake up call and realize that the entire universe does not revolve around Selena.

Yes but out of Respect even Eva Longoria said it respectfully about Selena, I was snubbed in person by Jlo even before she made it behind the scenes at the Selena movie I was apart of. I was so disappointed because she was playing the part of our beloved Selena, the whole cast including director Nava was so nice but even then she thought she was too good, I never looked at her the same and I'm not surprised she didn't mention Selena. She's still the same, it's ok the real star got hers in Hollywood yesterday...yes "Selena"

Would it been nice to hear JLo say thank u to SELENA? Of course but she is not obligated to honor Selena or give obeisance to her. JLo is her own person and she got where she did with hard work just like SELENA. did. JLo has done renditions in celebratory fashions to SELENA and even at her own concert. Plus she just did a rededication a while ago at the Billboard Award show with the family. JLo was the one that got in touched with the family about doing a dedication. JLo's critics even criticized her for not staying in touch with SELENA's family since she did the 'Selena' movie. JLo was not obligated to stay in touch with the family. She was an actor in the movie not their best friend. Besides she probably didn't want the family to be uncomfortable with having her in their lives. Whatever the reason both JLo and SELENA's family respect each other and this is all that matters but haters gone hate no matter what. JLo's walk of fame star was her time to shine and she did. SELENA would be proud.💝

Selena was the reason..I felt bad that she left her out, we all know Selena was one of the biggest reasons she's where she's at today. Selena at 22 had her own clothing line, grammy music, dancing talent and the body to die for. If Selena were alive today she would have been where Jlos at and maybe there would have been just a Jennifer lopez..Eva Longoria said it right Selena broke the barriers. Jlo didn't even mention Janet Jackson who was also apart of her start up in dancing. I like Jlo but this was a big moment and she should have given some credit to Selena
