I am new to this also. Just started 3 weeks ago ....i LOVE the way you explain things. I am just learning to layer and blend....it can get overwhelming and it is suppose to.be relaxing. I like this method on coloring books rather than using a colorless blend pencil because the black ink on coloring books smears into the blending of the colored pencils.

I need yor expertise im coloring a page with grass in it and dont know exactly how to color it to make it look realistic i did the backdrop in navy like a night sky any tips?

+rubberband land, the background sounds lovely! Without seeing the picture, I would recommend making the darkest part of the grass blades at the base because the sunlight has a hard time reaching that area. I would also mix in some yellows and light browns because grass is never just green. I hope this helps. Have fun!

Hi Jennifer...I love your rule of thirds.... I do have a couple of questions (I bet you are thinking I should pay you for one on one lessons...well I agree)..ok lol...when using the 3 different colors how much pressure are you using? When showing a light source area...is it easier to show one from the left, right, center? Does it matter? Thank you for this wonderful lesson!!!!!

They are very informative and have wonderful techniques to offer. They are an important step on how to get the feel of how to properly color and which comes first as well as the pressure used. Well worth looking into, I'm glad I did.
