My great grandfather came to Canada from Armenia after the genocide and several years later he brought over a young bride from Armenia. It was what you would refer to as a mail order bride - they had never met but he wanted to marry someone from his homeland. They stay married the rest of their lives and had children and grandchildren, etc. I understand why some people look down on that type of arrangement, but everyone is different.

Its not unheard of, but in turkish culture its normal for arrange marriages just like in the middle east. The rest of the cast don't understand but usually in turkish culture, arrange marriages must be done if a man can't find a bride/wife within his own country hence why they go overseas and they find someone to marry and then get to know them. I think the rest of the cast should get educated on Jennifer's culture!
