Same here. My mum had this dynamic with hers so I wanted diff for mself. I finally met someone & thanked my lucky stars his sister loved me & such a happy person. As soon as we started building a house trying to get pregnant she went full psycho mode treating me like the oth woman. She’d hang off his arm, dance like a monkey for his attention, stopped talking to me, started turning all the cousins against me, slamming doors in my face, placing my husbands pic of me facing down, throwing my belongings in our room around the room, calling my partner non stop when we together. In 1y she ruined a 6y long Union & I left him & the country. She was worse than all these women combined. I suffered 4 miscarriages, my husband kept yelling at me constantly like it was all my fault when I was completely on the receiving end never retaliated nor instigated anything. I’m so scarred I was bed ridden in my parents home for 1.5y. I’ve finally gotten a new job in a childrens hospital & saving to buy my own home alone. I’m really lonely & at 41 she may have stolen my chance to ever have children or a family, but God sees everything and I pray for justice. On top of all of this I’m a molecular biologist trying to cure cancers to save lives. I feel so humiliated that I felt lucky to be so loved by a family & a wonderful SIL. I’m very anti family now & cant even relax around my own family, I also stay away from my brothers gf. I Cant imagine dealing even with pleasantries if I were to meet a new guy & his fam. I do I hope one day to fall inlove again tho, & have better experience.
