I can't believe this movie is actually here, and that it's been almost 6 years since I first met Jennifer & Sol. There is something that I've kept with me since I spent a very short time with Solomon on his wedding day; we have very candid and open conversations, even for complete strangers. He showed me that even with a little time left, the time you do have can make tremendous impacts on people.
The film 'All My Life' is the perfect example of this.
Jennifer and I still keep in touch. We've spoken about how surreal this experience is for her, and how strange it is to see her entire life portrayed. One conversation, I had to stop for a moment. Jenn. said to me that it is a "beautiful tribute, but i was a mess seeing it for the first time...The part where Sol runs to the washroom and falls - that was the first night he felt pain. That felt awful to watch, but, no getting around it"
That truly got to me.
In the strangest of comparisons, I was thinking it was like the characters of 'The Office' when they are commenting on watching their life back, but for Jennifer this wasn't planned. "I don’t think it will get easier
It’s like seeing your life through a filtered glass" i said. It’s strange. I can imagine that it’s like memories that weren’t captured in video and photos suddenly being able to be seen again.
I thought deep about this, and realized that is what we do. That is what our company literally does, and though this was a tragic story to be a part of, it truly has given me a deeper outlook on what we have around us.
I needed that very recently, and we all needed it with what is happening around the globe right now.
Jennifer, Sol, and your beautiful family and friends - Thank you for giving me, and my team the best gift you could, your story. It has inspired me for half a decade, longer for your family, and now it will reach millions.
There is one person in PARTICULAR that I would love you to reach out to. his name is Dylan Holton. He gave me permission to use his song, 'A Daisy a Day' for this video. It's PERFECT in every possible way. Please support him, and give his song a download on iTunes to support the person who supports these stories.
Bless you all, and I hope that you get from this story as much as I've got.
