You could actually say that about many pop singers, both male and female. And there are many other singers who are in a sense "confined" to the alt/indie scene because they won't let themselves be pigeonholed into the one of the 2 or 3 variations of female and male pop vocals that are required.

She does that in Radical Optimism, a lot of songs in the album shows high and low notes. But i’d like if she does an album jazzy and some blues too :))

I saw this the night they performed it. It was awesome. Beautiful performance. There is a great video of her and Mark Ronson breaking down how they wrote Dance the Night Away for Barbie. I’m fascinated about the song writing process so I found it very interesting.

i mean that's her voice since the beginning of her career [2016]. She always had have this low register to her sound. Look up her cover songs and her debut album. Her popular sophomore album is poppy, and I think that's the sound you associated with her. And her recent third album is more of her higher register and vocal range
