Transcriptionist is a very skilled occupation that pays the lowest compensation for the time that is devoted to it. An hours worth of transcribing turns into 3 to 4 hours of proofreading, editing and other issues and with no guarantee of your work being accepted.

Hi Jennifer Marie, thanks for all the infos that you shared, but I think it would be better if you could also provide like a test and of course later you can reveal the answer. So that we can practice with you. Just like what you did with one of your video, I think it was about verbatim and non verbatim where you provided an audio where we can transcribe as a practice, I really enjoyed that video, because when you reveal the correct answer I knew my mistakes. Well, this is just my opinion or should I say a request. Thanks and God bless.

Jennifer, great video, but. In your examples of using apostrophes- where you say one child, you go on to say/transcribe 'to' children - should that not be two children? Look at 20:42 on the audio Doug

Hi jennifer , I have commented a few times about my acceptance for rev subtitle. Please help me because i was accepted at rev as Freelancer subtitle/translator in august 2020 and i have been waiting for almost 8 weeks can you help me to figure out when can i get started because you are already workin with rev. I hope u can or will help me with some solution 😌
@JenniferMarieVO4 жыл бұрын
Hello. If you were accepted, you should be able to login and click on "Find Work" and choose to accept the jobs you want. If not, I don't understand why. You should contact Rev support and show them proof of you being accepted and ask why you can't access jobs. I am not affiliated with the Rev support team, so I don't know why you can't access jobs if you were accepted. Try to email them and see what happens. Good luck!
@mohdshad78234 жыл бұрын
@@JenniferMarieVO yah i understand the whole stuff but i got an email sayin *We are excited to let you know that you’ve been accepted to join the Rev subtitle team! As we currently have enough freelancers to meet client demands, we are not activating your account yet. We will email you once your account becomes active and we are unable to respond to any requests for estimates on account activation. We look forward to working with you soon. Congratulations, The Rev Team*
@JenniferMarieVO4 жыл бұрын
@@mohdshad7823 I believe that is probably because they have so many freelancers because of the pandemic. I have never had that experience because I was accepted before the pandemic. I think you just need to be patient and in the meantime, try to apply to other transcription companies like Scribie, QA World, TranscribeMe, etc.

What if a speaker says quote before a word says the single word and continues with the lecture
@imadch62622 жыл бұрын

@renticat4 жыл бұрын
this is very confusing especially for non native speaker. I actually could catch what speaker is saying but typing it correctly with all these rules becomes impossible. Also, it is different in every company they don't have same standart. So how do I type full verbatim if the speaker shutters a lot and the other person keep saying yeah after a sentence do I need to put in under? They have like -- things if someone shutter and change word but i am still confuse because it only for 3 or more words? ... Should I used that instead? Its very difficult to pass with high accuracy. Kinda impossible 😯
@mosimac84644 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'm also have a hard time with the Audio, I mean i can hear the speakers very clearly but the sentence construction, punctuation and millions of rules that don't make sense are making it difficult to pass
@-_-ok95503 жыл бұрын
Do we need to put a comma if there are multiple conjunctions at the start of a simple sentence? for example: Ok so are we going or not? and im very confused about one thing. should i just seperate the long sentence ar conjuntions or just use comma when both are possible.
@trevor29493 жыл бұрын
