Something that I think might have been the issue in the last audio is lots of run on sentences by the speaker. Am I supposed to clean up the grammar? I read that I’m supposed to just transcribe what I hear in the way its said. So I’m not sure how to improve that last one. 🤔
@morganfaye932 жыл бұрын
There were also a lot of interruptions by the other speaker but I could usually hear the entire thought. If someone interrupts someone, but then they respond instead of finish their thought, how do you transcribe that? Example: I would really like to get the- Groceries? Yes, groceries! (Or is it: -yes, groceries!)?

@Sara196763 жыл бұрын
Thank you for providing this instruction. I have a question. At about 4:04, you're indicating that no punctuation should appear after the last word because it is possible that the sentence actually continues. But if the sentence continues, that COULD make the sentence more than 10 words in length, which would then require a comma after 'suit' in order to connect two independent clauses connected by a conjunction. So it seems like we're assuming the sentence continues but, at the same time, assuming it remains under 11 words in length. Again, thank you for your very helpful videos!
@mitchellleeengel79672 жыл бұрын
You make a valid point, I don't know why they didn't add the comma after 'suit' but it is something to consider.

Math Equations Use numerals for math equations, but fractions are still spelled out. Also, spell out math symbols as spoken, e.g., plus, minus, divided by, or negative. ● One-half times 4 minus 4 equals negative 2. ● It's 3 to the 3rd power.
