LOVE it ALL. I personally would have loved to see at least a portion of the coloring. You say you're not a great colorist but everything always comes out so lovely. Those of us that feel the same way love to see what others are doing and how. Definitely going to do this technique. As you say, I can see a lot of different possibilities. 💞

Short video, but very informative! I learned 2 new "tricks" that I intend to use too--#1, the way you fussy cut the bird's feet and then colored the white to match the background--definitely wonderful (I've accidently cut off things like toes trying to fussy cut all around them). #2 Placing small sentiments along the top, then trimming them. Both easy, simple things to do...I just never thought of them. Also, it's nice to hear your thought processes and honestly, I think it helps us to realize we're not failures because we don't know all aspects of a card right from the start or because we hate what we've done and want to change it. I hope your son feels better soon! Thank you so much!

I’ve done a lot of spotlight coloring over the years but I have to tell you, the technique you used with coloring the background color around the bird legs, is the most amazing technique ever! It seems so simple yet I’ve never seen anyone else do that, nor did I ever think of it! This alone, just made my week! LOL! Great video as always!! I’m not so patiently waiting for ML 11 to be restocked. All products you create with usually sell out by the night. I know I add lots of products to my wishlists on my favorite sites after watching your videos. Would love a video on the OLO markers compared to Copics. Much more expensive than Copics and are they worth it. Thank you!

I am happy to see some Copic coloring....it seems rare these days to see makers use them (or techniques with them, such as masking), but they are my absolute favorites. I prefer them to most stencils - I obsess and have to add details and depth with my Copics anyways, so I might as well just color them! The blues are lovely. Pretty card!

I had to laugh at all of the 'redos'. You are the Queen of crafty, whereas I am the queen of redo. Most of mine go in the trash though! 😂 This was a good lesson for me to just persevere a little longer...it will look great in the end.

Truly, almost the only time I do fussy cutting is when I remove the white outline from the coordinating die cuts. I love the idea of simply matching the color to the card to make those feet blend in eliminating the need for extreme fussy cutting. I simply couldn't resist Gina's new Radiant Roses bundle when I saw it this morning so perhaps I'll try this spotlight technique soon.
