@Jennifer McGuire Ink: I'm writing this because I want to make sure you know how good you are. Many other commenters let you know how beautiful and creative your cards are & I totally agree. What others neglect to mention is the overall quality of your videos & instruction, supported by your blog. The reason I want to address those qualities is I want to make sure you know they are noticed and appreciated in case you're tempted to neglect some of them if you get busy or stressed. First, your photography and lighting are outstanding so we can always see what you are trying to illustrate. You don't make the common mistake of pulling something closer to the camera so you can see it but take it away before we can. I truly appreciate the fact that your blog shows pictures of each of the cards so we don't need to rewatch the whole video as we look for inspiration or a technique. Second, your instruction is impeccable. For example, you repeated "cooled glaze" multiple times instead of expecting us to remember each detail of the instruction after hearing it only once. Repetition makes it easy to remember and apply. Most other card making/stamping video instructors either don't know or don't bother with this. You also are willing to show how techniques don't turn out the way you want & how to correct them. For example, when the background stamp missed a spot and you reheated the glaze. Another example is when you felt the gold gilter was too pronounced so added more embossing glaze. Third is your editing. You are so good at taking the time to determine what we need to know per video, editing out portions we don't need for this technique (e.g., in this video, cutting each die), speeding up portions that can be (blending), etc. You really are unique in the level of dedication you apply to showing us what we need to know to be successful in the minimum amount of time. That shows real respect for us, your viewers, who have many demands on our time. Many other KZbinrs have creative ideas but they're no where near your level of quality of instruction, photography, and editing. Thank you for taking the time to inspire us with your creativity and artistic vision. I hope this comment finds you & your family well.

Yvonne, thank you tremendously for this comment. You have no idea the impact your words have had on me today. I appreciate the encouragement because I doubt my work often. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I would love to send you a card. If you go to my website and under "features" find "contact me"... send your address. i would be honored to send you a card and little gift. Thank you again.

I absolutely second everything mentioned above and I’d like to add some additional observations: I love that you keep the work area clean, It’s a little thing but it really helps focus on what’s going on to not have the distraction of I little pieces of trash, misc dies, paper etc. I notice how you often scoot things out of the frame view so I know it’s an effort you specifically take to keep what’s within the frame tidy and I appreciate it. When you create a video on something more complicated like an interactive card I can tell you work out the easiest possible instructions and especially the easiest possible measurements and I really appreciate that. You truly make an effort to make things accessible for people to want to try and not just dismiss as being too complicated. I love how much you think about repurposing products. I’ve no doubt that you have an extensive stash of stamps and dies but often instead of going and getting another die you show how to repurpose what you are currently using to make another element for your card, stretching the products. It really makes me look at my products differently for opportunities. Your voiceovers are fantastic, aside from the fact that your voice is very calming, you always speak very clearly, never too fast or slow, no umms and ahhs, no mumbling, no moving to and away from the mic, just beautifully clear and concise. Thank you for all the effort you put into your work - it is seen and appreciated.

I have so many ideas circling in my brain such as using die cuts layered up and adding glaze to make them look enameled then adding an earring backing to make unique and fun jewelry!! I just love videos like this because it always gets my brain ticking!! As always, Jennifer, I am so grateful to have these superb instruction/inspiration videos to watch and learn from. I wish there was a way I could thank you even by sending YOU a thank you card (I’m sure it wouldn’t match your level but would be from my heart!). Anyway, please know I’m truly grateful!! TYFS ❤️🦋💜

This tutorial about the glazes is better and more informative than the ones of Tim Holtz. I've recently received my first 3 glazes to try, red/yellow/blue, and practiced a little. Oh My GOODNESS!!! I must first admit that when I first saw the title of this one I thought you were using the 'waterproofing' Distress Glaze, but as I automatically save & watch all of your videos, I'm so glad I watched this sooner rather then later. All of these techniques are awesome ideas, & now I want more glazes so I can do so many more things with them! I've been watching your videos for years, including any older ones I stumble across, & I'm so glad Yvonne mentioned how awesome you are overall with everything you do behind the scenes.. & comparing old to new I can honestly say you've only gotten better over the years. I learn more about some products watching you than I do from watching the 'creators'... & I really like Tim but 35 minutes is a lot easier to handle then some of his more recent 2+ hour long videos - especially when I really should be sleeping 😉. Thanks so much for all you do, & all of the additional work behind the scenes of what we eventually see.. we all appreciate it very much. 🤗💖🤗

From the first introduction of TH Embossing Glaze I have wondered if I should bother with it. I thought that translucent EP is nothing new and I can dye clear EP pretty easily. TH actually used to teach this technique. I think this is the video that has finally convinced me to try it. I will buy a jar in my favorite Distress color, Candied Apple. A big part of the reason I shied away from Embossing Glaze is because I discovered the joys of resin and epoxy clay. I had loved molding UTEE back in the days when Suze Weinberg was the reigning queen of EP techniques. What I particularly loved about this video and most of JM’s videos is that she always manages to fire up my imagination. From this video I’m going to use the technique of heat embossing transparent EP on acetate. Thanks for the inspiration 😊
