I really love this design. I didn’t have any background dies that I could use so I just cut out various flowers and leaves and sprigs and then glued them together inside of my frame and attached them to the frame and it worked great. I just got the Gina K designs joyful holiday card kit and use the poinsettias and foliage from the kit and it worked beautifully.

As I was watching this I was thinking I’m never going to be able to do this because I don’t have the right size dies. (Yes, I was dismissing what JM said about any size die working.)Then I remembered JM’s video about creating the look of a cover plate die out of smaller dies. Bingo. I can do this because I have lots of rectangle dies,(don’t we all?), and tons of smaller dies. I immediately thought of all of the floral dies I have and then snowflakes too. There’s also plenty of geometric dies that would work too. Heck this technique would work with sentiments arranged between two rectangular frames. I’m thinking about the sentiment set Spellbinders put out last month for their Small Die of the Month subscription.
