I’m 84 and have heard them all, from Ginger Rogers to Edith Piaf to Vera Lynn. Then Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Barbara Streisand, Dusty Springfield, Tammy Wynette, and Bonnie Tyler. Add Gloria Gaynor, Connie Francis, Laura Branigan, Linda Ronstadt, Rita Coolidge, Celine, Mariah, and Whitney and you have the lineup of the greats right up to Adele and Susan Boyle. But, Jennifer Rush has the all-around best female voice I have ever heard. Her operatic training adds an unmatched vibrato containing depth and texture. @@julianv.5848 How can it be? Here in Finland I haven't heard this song in radio since 80's. The only recording was my own VHS-cassette collection of music videos from Finnish tv. I used to listen to it so many times that it was cut. There went lost forever classic live performances from Bon Jovi, Modern Talking, Sandra, Pet Shop Boys, Cutting Crew, Dire Straits and oh so many. Later I was able to invest Heart over -cd, but still no, no radios playing this ever. In Finland this is a lost treasure that no-one knows about. This is one of the most beautiful songs of all times!! Generally,the 80s had the most beautiful and most heart-breaking melodies. When you hear such songs,you get chills.I am 22.Since I was 14,i have been listening to older music especially from the 70s,80s and 90s. All I have to say is that in these decades,musicians were really talented.There was so much more passion than nowadays.Here in Greece,I am one of those youngsters that appreciate this kind of music.

A presenter of the Finnish music show said her voice is like destiny, ääni kuin kohtalo, Mikko Alatalo! I still can play every single beat of this drum set with no mistakes.
