Lingoda is a terrible language school Jenny. I know many people which don't like it very much. I tried it and most of their material is from Wikipedia or at least was when I took their classes. I am glad they can help but your teaching is 100% better. I have learned more with you and with my teacher from the Goethe institute than I did from them.

que legal que você fala português :) as a brazilian trying to learn german that gives me a little hope hahah german is very different from portuguese, close to english though so my knowledge in english helps. personally I think the more languages you know the easier to learn others. i speak italian and a few structures are similar to german as well

Hi Jenny. Languages are giving me a hard time. Although they pique my interest and i devote a considerable amount of time to them it seems i just don't have the talent to master them. I feel that in my case since i'm learning to meet an end, that is to have better job prospects in Europe, i'm failing miserably. Despite trying to learn Spanish for almost six months i'm still languishing around the fiestas and siestas and some other rudimentary words. Your German lessons are great and it seems that i have learned a lot only to find out that i haven't retained anything from the past week's lesson. The English language i was able to learn subconsciously as i didn't set myself any goals in which i must attain a certain level of proficiency and i just used to read about my topics of interest i.e. Religion, Philosophy, Politics and Technology which invariably improved my English language skills. Though i would love to work at Deutschland as an electrical engineer as the German industry provides a plethora of options for aspiring engineers, the requirement to attain a respectable level of German for me in a small period is invariably a race against time which i'm destined to lose considering my current progress. Although i would continue to watch your lessons and learn more about the German language which offers great insight about how old English used to function and the etymology of most of English words , i have already given up on my chances of finding work in Germany based on my German skills. :(

OUINO is not very useful. The learning materials are piecemeal and not structured in a way that facilitates learning. One can't really commit anything to memory except for the use of a few frequently spoken vocab. The only thing that renders helpful so far is the built-in conversations from which one can learn a thing or two. Just be mindful of the errors in the text. If you've got a question, no one is there to address it.
