I only get a chance to go to Jennings once a year and this video has been wonderful to help refresh my memory and remind me of the subtleties of this track. I literally watch it a few times before getting on track. Thanks!

First time in Jennings this weekend for 3 days and this is the most useful video I have found. Watched it many times - thank you very much

Heading to Jennings in Jan of 2023 for the first time ever, first time ever out of country as well (Canada). Exactly the kind of video I was looking for in order to ''warm up''.

I haven't been able to ride over 10yrs. because of health issues. I Love Jennings and videos like this one are a great way for me to feel like I'm back on a bike. Thanks for a great video.

Good stuff!!! First time at Jennings was on a 1050 Speed Triple. Second go on a 675 Street Triple. Felt more confident, comfortable on smaller bike. This is a helpful video. Well done!

Thanks Jason. I did my first track day there yesterday and hit a 1:29 best time on my zx6r. I wish I studied your video before hand, because now I see several areas where I’m losing time. Great stuff!

Great commentary with the video. I am stepping into the track game and only have 3 days under my belt and my best time was only a 1:44 but I felt like I took alot from your video from your words as well as seeing your lines and this weekend I am going to try to implement them as best I can! Aiming for 1:38 consistently!

Wow, thanks for this. I’m on a ‘09 R1 and I can see some spots where I’m using the brakes but shouldn’t be. T3 is gonna be my focus next time I’m there too.

You got it man! Yeah, T3 is one of those turns where you have to scare yourself to really get it, but once you do, you can drop seconds just from that turn.

I always struggled with 3/4/5...I always killed in the back. Which is where you can't really pass.... I almost high sided in 10/11......12 was always one of my favorite turns if I had a smooth line.

I took away the lack of braking and carrying more speed through 3 and 4. Done 3 track days there now and miss it very much. I used my front brake a lot and also was being very careful going into 3 and 4 especially after witnessing a particular demo rider lose the front there at the novice track school a few years ago ;) I was on a black/red Street Triple R at the school and my last two days were on a black/orange KTM Super Duke. Thanks very much for the informative video sir. Cheers

Jason you should try and feature some rider training. But only with those riders who won't take so long to train thatll show almost instant improvement .

Thats a good ride through. I buy news tires. They only last one track day at Jennings.
@jdkadius
@jdkadius 7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I can kill a new tire by lunch if I ride at my max. Usually can get a whole day by flipping the rear at lunch at a track day.

Such a scam.. tires on a semi last for years or 150-200k miles.. and yours are gone in just a couple hours 🙄 they can make them better..

Thanks for the Video. Going there 1st time next week. Very helpful. All the other videos where just riders filming. You explained things I need to know. I am an Intermediate rider. Been to California Superbike School many times and track days Various tracks. Some fast (Road America) and some not so fast, Autobahn North in Joliet, IL. This track looks fun. Is this a SuperSport size track or a Liter bike track? Or does it even matter?

Great video - very insightful. When you say you back off the gas and let the turn scrub off speed, do you let off the throttle a bit while leaning?
@jdkadius
@jdkadius 6 жыл бұрын
Depends on the turn, but generally I have to let completely off when I turn in. Then I’ll crack the throttle once I feel that I’ve slowed enough. So in short, I’m only scrubbing in the beginning of the turn and I’m usually completely off the throttle while scrubbing.

thanks! I'm still getting a feel for techniques. I went to jennings a couple times during my undergraduate years in 2009 timeframe but went for the first time since then this last December. I plan to go end of February for the 3 day track weekend. Maybe I'll see you there 😛 Your commentary videos are really helpful - keep it up!

...there's no brakes. Yeah, unless you've caught up to someone who is really good at powering out of a turn on the straights but horrible on the turn in. Gets a little hairy when you almost collect a friend because you underestimated the skill level of the rider they are shepherding.
