Of course it got the thumbs down because those who think they know what Mixed Media is, they don't and should go look it up!
@annalba8 жыл бұрын
+Jennings644 they don't know what they are talking about. any time you use a different kind of material Paint, Lace, buttons, beads, is MIXED MEDIA.
@hollowayhandbag8 жыл бұрын
Mixed media, in visual art, refers to an artwork in the making of which more than one medium has been employed. There is an important distinction between "mixed media" artworks and "multimedia art". "Mixed media" tends to refer to a work of visual art that combines various traditionally distinct visual art media-for example, a work on canvas that combines paint, ink, and collage could properly be called a "mixed media" work, but not a work of "multimedia art." The term "multimedia art" implies a broader scope than "mixed media", combining visual art with non-visual elements (such as recorded sound, for example) or with elements of the other arts (such as literature, drama, dance, motion graphics, music, or interactivity). When creating a painted or photographed work using mixed media it is important to choose the layers carefully and allow enough drying time between the layers to ensure the final work will have structural integrity. If many different media are used it is equally important to choose a sturdy foundation upon which the different layers are imposed. Many effects can be achieved by using mixed media. Found objects can be used in conjunction with traditional artist media to attain a wide range of self-expression. big love marc

Hi there, I just watched this tutorial you posted on altering tin cans. I just love your personality!! The can was so pretty, and perfect for makeup brushes. My cousin and I are preparing to start our crafting tutorials, we are long time scrappers, card makers and crafters. Our name will be Jamma cards and crafts. I look forward to joining you in the KZbin world, you made my night. Take care!!

Welcome to the world of KZbin crafting lol. Stay safe and be careful on here, check out folk before you sub to them as we do have some rather dramatic crafters whom are hellbent on...DRAMA! We're not in that category as my channel would rather craft then be in a group or having a go at someone :0). I have a fabulous bunch of crafters that sub to my channel and they are very very good at helping others if needed! So if I don't answer you, someone will but NO advertising please on this channel and you're more than welcome to join my facebook page too :0) xx

Fiona, the caveat on the E7000 tube is on everything in CA from petrol pumps to the entry to every apartment building, stating that items used in the construction of, or cleaning items contain such chemicals, even in minuscule amounts. If it's sold in CA it must bear that warning. It's probably the replacement for saying "use with adult supervision" or "use with proper ventilation." The pearl trim buttons made the can "pop". tfs
@MissTuppy9 жыл бұрын
Ty for the information about the E6000. Gosh its such a powerful warning. How bizarre but guessing there covering the backs maybe.
@Dennissiple9 жыл бұрын
MissTuppy Most people don't even bother with it. I think it's more there for people who are particularly sensitive to certain chemicals, and in compliance with CA state laws - which are very strict on these things - the warning must be printed on packages if they're to be sold in the state. Mind you, it's on a lot of cleaning products as well.

I had a laugh when you mentioned about everything NOT being garbage.....during the summer I walked by a sign shop where Ilive and they had thick tubes that looked like they had held vinyl for ..making signs...there were 6 tubes there and by the time I left 5 of the tubes were gone....the tubes are just about 5 feet long and were really hard to carry home but will look great as snowmen or something else.....I haven't figured out what the something else is yet....hugs

Regarding the warning on the E6000, I have no idea if it is true or not but I learned recently that many of the studies having been done in California are under review because of old methods of testing being used. In other words, they are still using the feed a rat the equivalent of 50 pounds of some product or another every day for a month and see if the rat gets cancer. These methods are no longer used because they are inaccurate. So I am now looking again at any warnings that came from studies done in California. Not telling anyone not to be careful or not to heed warnings but just simply saying do your research!

Add miniatures etc. Great way of using up odds and ends.
