This is how I play the new song "Jenny of Oldstones" from Game of Thrones. I think it sounds nice this way.

Yes, finally it is here. Not that I would need it so much (and yes, I have to play this song literally every day as this is one of the best slow "ballad" songs I've ever heard) but was waiting for you to upload another video cause I was so interested to see what will you add or change to the previous video :) Still must say absolutely brillliant work there and much better as well as more natural explanation of the picking technic and whole music "theory" than the most of actual guitar teachers on the whole internet from what I've seen. Hope you will continue with uploading. Thank you. Have a wonderful day :)

Sometimes is like bikeriding. You don´t talk about chord names at all. Instead you give us a lot of " How it feels". It was just beautiful. Best adaptation ever, for my ears... Well, I´m from Spain and... You know what?. Technique learnt from academy is very useful but real music comes Straight from the heart. Good job!

haha, what did you think of my "mountains" analogy? Doesn't it look like mountains when you draw it? :)

@@bilingualdasha7449 For me it is far more better way to learn the tabs then the classic reading from music notation, especially for someone who is self-teaching :D I knew immediately how to play it.

hey Dasha, thank you for this awesome tutorial, I am a beginner and now and I can play this on the guitar through your help. you explained it very nicely and in a refreshing way. your positive and nice character really shines through, you are awesome. oh btw, you should really do a full play-through of your version and upload it so we can listen to it regularly, that'd be awesome! Cheers from Vienna

It took me a bit of practicing and listening, but I completely understand what you mean by the "mountains" and "ta ta ta." I would be using those terms as well because I am not well-versed in music theory at all! You did an amazing job, and your version is so beautiful. Thank you for making this available for us to learn.

Yes! So good! I'll keep the old chord progression though, I can't really do the barre F chord😅 EDIT: I changed it up a little bit more, as I said i use the Am instead of the F chord like in the original video, but also when the chord progression goes Dm-G-Am i only do the ta-ta-ta (so no mountains on the Dm) instead of mountains-tatata-tatata. I think it sounds better and slows down the song a little. I do this on all Dm-G-Am in the lyrics, for example "Spun away all her sorrow and pain" and "And the ones who had loved her the most". Like on spun away I sing: Spun away. All her sorrow. And paiiin. Little more dramatic
