I have a question. The plan for this upcoming Father's day is to go hiking at 5 am! Then come home to pozole! 😋 So my plan is to leave everything prepared the night before, such as the chile, etc. Now, I always boil the water before adding the meat. This time around, I think I may add all the meat to the pot in the water, add the seasonings, and store the entire pot in the fridge till the next morning. Sunday morning, I'm planning on leaving the meat cooking on low heat, and leaving my daughter in law (who just had surgery / not accompanying us) to simply add the hominy and chile in due time. My question is, is that okay? Will anything happen to the meat if it sits in water all night? Will the flavor be altered??
