Walgreens just launched dupes of luxury skincare and today I'm reviewing 6 products and seeing if the ingredients match up to the original high-end skincare. There are definitely hits and misses (but the best one is at the end)! I'd love to hear your thoughts down below. 🥰

This was so interesting. I didn't know ai was this advanced now. Though I do know that you can Google an ingredients list and Google will know/pull up what the product is, so it's very possible that AI "knew" which products were which. I wonder if the high end products claims are also fed into AI and the AI is just repeating it.

I am a former beauty consultant for Walgreen’s. No surprise to me that they would do something to compete with The Ordinary. I could tell when a teen walked in the door with a mom that they would be asking if we sold The Ordinary products. We had nothing to suggest in its place. I was asked daily. Good for them for finally making some to compete.

I think it might be helpful for people with scent or fragrance sensitivity to know these terms: Scent Free- no discernable smell with product's ingredients. Fragrance Free- no fragrance (natural or artificial) added, but the product may still have a smell from it's other ingredients. Unscented - an artificial or natural fragrance ingredient has been added to neutralize any scent occurring from the product's ingredients. Scented (Fragranced)- an artificial or natural fragrance has been added to the product to purposely give it a discernable smell Hope this helps anyone out there with sensitivities. People tend to use the terms scent-free, fragrance -free and unscented interchangeably, but the are definitely different terms meaning very different things

AND...none of these terms have a legal definition in the United States. Nor does "hypoallergenic." Brands can, and do, use these terms freely in advertising and on labels. i have sensitive skin, and I've seen fragrance or fragrant ingredients on the ingredients lists for products labeled "fragrance free" or "hypoallergenic." I'm not kidding; to name 2, an Olay skin care product and an Aveeno body wash. If your skin is sensitive, or you just don't like fragrant products, ALWAYS, ALWAYS check the ingredients list! And if you see a botanical name used for an ingredient, look it up. Quite often these are fragrant ingredients.

I'm a new Aesthetician. I just received my license in the mail Saturday 🎉🎉🎉 I am going to try a couple of these products. Soap n Glory has my favorite lipgloss of all time .I've had it so long I can't read what the color is anymore !!!!! Hopefully they get it ,it's with the doe foot ,not in squeeze tube like ulta now carries . It's a sticky gloss .like a peachy pale pink shimmer .

I started using AI for ingredients a few months ago! With my sensitive skin and mild rosacea, it has been amazing at not only identifying potential irritants, but doing comparisons. Glad you are talking about it! It does really like most Good Molecules and Cerave products. I have been shocked to find that some products (low, high, and Korean) contain ingredients that are known irritants, even on products promising to soothe or be for sensitive skin.

I am a Walgreens Beauty and Wellness Consultant.We were trained on these products and were told to call them Skincare Swaps, not dupes. They know that the ingredients are not the complete same, and they dont say anywhere on the packaging "compare to" like other walgreens brand products that are our versions of National brands.

One thing I will say Jen. Without diving too much into it. Wall greens and boots are a shared alliance and we have the latter in the UK. We’ve had a similar sort of launch with a line called Boots ingredients they’ve duped the ordinary and inky list. I must say I haven’t tried a lot only an eye cream but it’s been nice to see the line grow massively. Also knowing the science behind no7 who is wallgreens/boots brand.

The Walgreens SDJ dupe sounds right up my alley. While it might not have the advanced moisturizing ingredients, I really don't like the SDJ scent so something with less smell is perfect!

I read somewhere that phenoxyethanol is limited to 1% of a product's ingredients. So when you see actives listed after it, you know you're not getting much of them. The Walgreen product has it MUCH higher up in the ingredient list than the YTP. That and country of origin most likely account for why it's much cheaper. Great video!

a lot of brands just come from the same labs. you're actually paying for marketing packaging etc etc. the ordinary isnt the affordable brand anymore. the ordinary did this .they were $5 before lauder bought them.

Hi Jen! I was surprised (and excited) when I found a dupe for Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen at Walgreens,as part of their store brand. I was used to seeing Walgreens store brands dupe all kinds of more "common" personal care products...for example they'll dupe Dove body wash (I was super disappointed in that one) or a Neutrogena face wash,and often when the ingredients are similar enough, I go with the store brand option, focusing of course on the "active" ingredients for skincare. I got the Unseen Sunscreen Walgreens dupe and found that it was nearly IDENTICAL to the Supergoop! version....unfortunately, as this product, even the original, is a bit too slick/dewy for my oily skin type,but it was impressive and also reminded me of something similar e.l.f. did with their Suncare line, only they made the "unseen sunscreen" into a clear, blurring primer. (That one was another exciting, instant impulse buy for me, until I discovered soon enough it wouldn't work with my oily, large pored skin.)

I use Laneige lip mask at night because I haven't found anything better, honestly when I first started my lips were so dry it made a difference but I would love to know what masks are more hydrating! Or at the very least your favorite for bed time as my lips are still not as hydrated as I would like. Thanks Jen as always!

Interesting what AI came up with--good reviews IMO. This was a really interesting video. I'm a skin care junkie and always read ingredient lists.
