Austerity was due to the worldwide financial crash being caused by Wolverhampton having too many public libraries.

Finest piece of 10 minutes of Radio Rant ever!! Thank you James, this Irredeemable and outright scoundrel, should be brought to his knees for mismanagement and misdirecting the British Public, when he was a flipping Minister in the last government. Robert Jenrick should be voted out of the offices of Public service for ever!!

Part of the reason why prisons are full is because crime is rarely prevented anymore, the perpetrators are only caught after the fact and sent to prison. Not much use to the victim of the crime, not much use to the public purse.

10 years ago the government decided to push mental health inpatients into the community without there being any support in the community. With declining inpatient care and declining community support the service has been in crisis for years. I was involved in charity MH so I’ve seen the decline on the front line. We cannot criticise labour for taking over a completely broken system

Hi James, love your show and take on life. The real problem is that most of the medical system treat pain as normal rather than a health issue that needs to be dealt with by natural means. There is no medical answer. However there are answers.

Controversial point: you should not go to prison for financial crimes or cheating benefit. You should be made to pay it back with a fine. It works a bit like it in France. That would free up spaces.
@Sam88-l4kАй бұрын
Depends on the financial crime. Taking a person's life savings is pretty damaging to the victim. If your cheating benefit I would presume especially in our country, they won't be able to pay it back.

Conservative government in power for 14+ years decided to abandon social care decade’s ago. Inpatient care is minimal. Outpatient MH care is virtually none existent now goodness knows where the new Labour government starts piecing it together. There’s hardly any inpatient care never mind community care.
