Jens always was a constant in my live. Since the earliest cycling seasons I can remember, he was part of the peloton. And now it seems odd to have a Tour de France coming soon, without him

Bout cried a little seeing him in that chair reflecting. Jens, you've done more than you'll ever know.

Met him at a charity ride in Hawks Nest Australia. A true legend and a funny guy. I asked him if he misses racing. "No" was the curt reply. Fuck I hate it when sports heroes have to retire!

A great guy who has given a lot to cycling and entertained us. I would respect him even more if he'd admit to having done the thing that we know he did like all he rest. He's still holding out though - sad to see at age 47

Gotta love that guy. I am worried about the hour record, though. why is he thinking of putting himself through that? Hour record riders are time trialists ... Jens is not.

too bad he never cared for his shitty pronunciation. I'm always embarrassed listening to sportsmen who can't or won't learn halfway proper English even though they know they will have to give interviews. Come on, you've got so much time while travelling. I'm glad to see the new young talents are different.

I liked the times, when they were sportsman and not trademarks... i just cannot identify myself with people, who behave theirselves in order to benefit the most. But nevertheless, how bad is his pronounciation? Do you understand him?
