That Kicker (or Recoil) LOC is a must for any stereo system. Both great products and the best $25 you can spend on your system. Not all LOC's are built the same, and many will distort the signal to your amp but not Kicker or Recoil.

I have had so many Jensen products through the years. My first setup ever in the 80s was Sparkomatic 6x9s, Jensen amp and Jensen double shaft radio with cassette. Always performed, never let me down.

You're right about the Bluetooth/App and future compatibility. That seems like a short term sales feature and a problem waiting to happen. The 25A fuses were probably fine for music. Sine tests pull more amps then you will ever see on music.

I have multiple of this series of amps (this one & the 4-channel model). They run for years, do run warm if you don't have a fan (all systems should have fans, they're cheap). The S/N is only 60db but sound good without hissing or buzzing. NVX has had their universal remote volume knobs on sale for only $7.99, pairs perfectly with this amp because of the lack of an external "bass knob". The fuses popped because the test was ran at 0.1 ohms, not 1 ohm. Very good, solid amp.

Awesome amp I have 2 batteries and 240 amp alt running a 10in xv2 in a t-line and it hits just as hard as my phoenix gold elite 12 did in a ported box on 3000 watts. The t-line has very wide bandwidth. It well flex my doors. Ive never had to reset the amp been tuned like I set it since day 1 which was over a year ago.

You must've got an upgraded one or they changed some internals because my 2 year old Jensen xda91rb has never popped a fuse and will only do 780 at 1 ohm. I'm currently wired to 0.7 on 2 Concrete Audio lvl 2 12s that are roughly 1.67 resistive each. BUT... The amp has never failed to work or impress. People assume the big US Acoustics Barbara Ann next to it is for the subs (it's at least 3x the size and 105 amps of fuses), but then I point out the little Jensen and mention it can do double the power of the Barbara Ann and their eyes get big. Still a bargain to this day. EDIT: I posted this comment this morning and wouldn't you know, I popped the 2-25 amp fuses with some Bassotronics. Amps fine though after putting in 2 new 30 amp fuses.

The Master Level is the Amp Gain. The other gain is the volume or gain for the Bass Boost, equivalent to a bass knob. Why they chose to call it Gain is beyond me and kind of silly. I really like these amps and the DSP is a huge selling point. I use these amps in my boat and I don't have to take anything apart or hang upside down with a flashlight to adjust the amp. I am using the XDA94 and about to use the new JA5D to run my other speakers and my sub.

I have this amp I love it I use it to power my subs in my basement powered by a 75 amp computer power supply that only puts out 12.25 volts at 75 amps it runs great like that get good power out of the amp.😊 I tested mine and got 750 RMS at .8 ohm and 13.8 volts

I have both amps. The power acoustik 2500 and this Jensen. I didn’t have to pay for them but they Both are definitely worth the money if I had to. The Jensen surprised the hell out of me. It just keeps pushing non stop and never goes into protect mode. But the power acoustik 2500 is absolutely a lot more powerful and it will push just about any subs when wired to 1ohm or 1/2 ohm but the amp can be finicky sometimes with the 4 way protective system it has it doesn’t take much for it to go in protect mode. And the terminals for power and ground are way to small at 8 awg. And then the manual says to use 4 awg for installation. 😂

Running a dsp is the future and far better than trying to adjust a dial on an amp.

This isn't really a dsp. Not in the traditional sense. When it comes to amps, I prefer a dial. I get the feeling they may stop supporting the phone app after a few years. I've seen large standalone DSP's that we're controlled with a Phone app become useless when the company stopped updating the app for modern phones.

Whats the way to get the efficiency? Its like volts X watts ÷ amps pulled? I always get it screwed up and I'm sure you know.

It’s volts X amps. That would be the wattage if it was 100% efficient. You take that number and decide it by the wattage on the meter. This will give you the efficiency.

The Signal to Noise ratio would be my only concern with the amp. Personally, in this day and age, a DSP ought to be an option on all amplifiers, as with digital input. Digital (fiber optics) will always be the best music connectivity for the best sound. Nothing can beat it. Nothing. TEMU sells DSP circuits and boards for less than $20. Far less to manufacturers.

This amp would be good bang for the buck if you have an android radio that lets you run the Dsp app for the subwoofer volume, a deck with its own sub output volume or a Rca bass knob, or maybe if you are using a full DSP with a bass knob.

I love this app it does more power than the RZR 2500 the only way to get that RZR 2500 to make good power is the wire to half ohm this ain't going to be wired down to I believe 067 and run perfectly fine and makes 121300 RMS no problems just have to put 2 50 amp fuses in there

2 25 amp fuses is way too small to begin with the amp can draw over 100 amps wait till u wire it to .8 .067 cause it runs those ohm loads no issue.

They didn't skimp on the glue. Lol I imagine they designed it for the beginner who's likely to mount the amp to their sub box. I don't like that app to control it. That's an easy way to make a product obsolete within a few years.

This amp is better than the RZR 2500 to get high power from the RZR 2500 have to wire to .5 and the RZR 2500is a 2 ohm rated amp not 1ohm

idk when you tried it. but play store reviews say the app has been broken thru all of 2024. the amp settings all reset every time you turn off your vehicle. i tried it 2 months ago and promptly returned to walmart. all the people in these comments praising the amp, dont know what they're talking about.

Jensen is under rated. always made over rated. Even back in the 80.s. but the phone app.. no reason for that. Worst thing about Jenson was no support in the amplifier... Needed to add Glue to the windings and caps for support.

15:04 the SMD meter be lying. The amp pulled 74 amps of current at 14.8 volts. Assuming the amp is 100% efficient thats only 1090 watts. So where did it get 1290 @ 0.1 ohm from?

I have been using this amp for 6 months I absolutely hate the Bluetooth connection it does not have a friendly connection process it will say connected but it won't be no settings work if Bluetooth is not connected and the amp does very low power unless u have the app fully set up the difference in wattage is very big on connected vs not it does maybe 250 rms not connected to Bluetooth but if it's connected and have plenty of voltage this amp can draw 80 amps of current and has 2 25 amp fuses if ur running this below 1 ohm or to absolutely max power u need atleast 70 amps of fusing I have popped the fuses the amp will run .066 ohm and make a good amount of power I get about 750 and 860 using bass boost this little amp ain't no punk he gets down for its tiny size it will knock around a sub pretty darn good and it's pretty effient this amp makes over rated power at every ohm load. Just not a fan of a amp that uses only a Bluetooth signal

Turning on and up the bass boost can make the amp produce up to 40 % more RMS and dynamic power it's a huge gain in power.
