@@thebigint-hw1on Raikkonen was better than Button. Jenson had a far longer prime, but, Kimi was unbeatable in his prime. Kimi's prime was 2005. He won 7 races that year. Alonso won 7. Raikkonen lost an additional 2 wins to mechanical problems, and one a gamble which didn't pay of. Of which, Fernando won most of those 3. Kimi would've won over half the races (10) in the 19 race season, against drivers like Fernando Alonso, Michael Schumacher, and others.

@@S.P.Q.Rrespublicas When people can only refer to a handful of years to point to Kimi being a top tier driver, it's time those people start to consider maybe he was just flattered by Newey's McLarens and that the regulations at the time just perfectly catered to his driving style. Post-Michelin, Kimi was evenly matched with Massa, and both were utterly humiliated by Alonso. Kimi then went on to be humiliated by Vettel. Not just beaten, utterly demolished. Button was a lot closer to Alonso than Kimi was and would have beaten Kimi had they ever been teammates. Truly great drivers are great over their careers, not just for a handful of years within it, and over multiple regulation changes, like Alonso or Hamilton.
