I had never heard pose Iowa before. That's cute! Did you make it up? I used to be involved in belly dancing on a consistent basis for years. It was many years ago though. I miss belly dancing so I figured I would follow along with some of you ladies on TikTok. I would say the chest forward and back are the most challenging for me. Side to side is no problem but back and forth I feel like my stomach wants to move too. Hip lifts drops and shimmies are no problem for me. To me I feel like moving my hips is just natural. 😊 It's my chest lifts I feel like don't look right. I'm going to put mirrors across my walls in my truck though so that way I can watch myself. Maybe I don't look as bad as my brain is telling me I do. 🤷‍♀️

❤ the foundational skills I learned in your course really came into play here! I was so happy to get the pose transitions with the arms 😊. Doubt I was as graceful as you are, but I was thrilled! I had to keep the hip and shoulder shimmies at the middle speed though. And the chest movements were pretty small, especially in pose Aiwa, I had to do them slower.....good challenge!

That is awesome! Yes, the Range of Motion classes and drills are amazing at building the foundation, aren't they?! I'm so happy to hear of your progress-very exciting! Keep practicing slowly focussing on coordinating the move with the beat...and every once in a while challenge yourself to "ramp it up!" 🥰

Hey Jensuya Just finished this lesson I still have doubts about if my hips are moving correctly bc I can't only move my hips in shimmy or twisting I kinda move a little of my thighs is it ok?❤
