You asked what happened to Anduin. In the Shadowlands expansion, he and many other leaders were kidnapped and literally taken to WoW's version of the underworld. The others were saved, but we couldn't find Anduin. After failing to convince him to join their cause, the villains used a magic type called Domination to literally control his body and force him to work for them. He fought against us players, and literally stabbed the leader of the angels responsible for bringing souls to the afterlife. He did eventually break free due to the aid of the souls of his father and an old orc soldier, yet he was deeply traumatized by the experience. He outright admits that he was no longer sure where the line was between him being forced to do what he did, and him willingly doing so. That doing those horrible deeds was both horrible and exhilarating, and whether the satisfaction he felt was truly his own.

Love how you, even without knowing about the torture and abuse he went through, could understand and empathyse with the character from his expressions alone. Speaks volumes about both animator's craftsmanship and you as a person.

Oh wow is indeed proper way to say to this beginning of cinematic. Just watch when he whirls Shalamayne in the sand how sands starts to collapse. I am sorry to bring it it but I watched this cinematic for so many times that details started to attract me. Watch it again and again and again and just you keep asking yourself when the series will come out.

Even before the vision hit them, when the sword was up to Thrall's chest, I admit a part of me wondered if Anduin was about to kill him. It was only for a few seconds though that that flitted through my mind. But I was nervous. I really don't want Anduin to go bad

You need to watch the ending cinematic of Antorus, the Burning Throne. Sargeras was the culprit of the sword, Gorribal or the Dark Seether, who plunged his sword into the surface of the planet to kill the World Soul but now I believe because of this cinematic he was trying to aim it for Xal'atath who is corrupting the World Soul and trying to turn it to her master's side, The Void.

Sylvanas is currently in the Maw gathering all the souls that were lost after she burned Teldrassil or The World Tree (Night Elf home) to the ground. Every soul went to the Maw and she is there as a punishment to get all the souls and send them to the Arbiter to be judged fairly for their afterlife. Her new found sympathy came after the Jailer gave her back her soul that Arthas took after stabbing her with Frostmourne. Giving that there were SO MANY Night Eleves living there, she will be in the Maw for many years.

He went through literal hell and was mind-controlled to commit horrific acts while being aware of it all. WoW gets a lot of flack lately (deservedly imo) for being too touchy-feely and a lot of characters having onscreen therapy and cry sessions. This cinematic though, is very much on point, the emotion is well placed (and animated!) and definitely not over dramatized. He has PTSD (who wouldn't after an in depth visit to hell) and they've shown that really well in this cinematic.

What if Sargeras was right and we fought for the wrong side all this time , what if there is something at the core of the world that is trying to corrupt it or what if Azeroth itself is actually evil and on the void lords side. From what i've watched and read so far i expect the end of " the war within" to have a huuge " surprize " for us . When the trailer ends and the title screen appears we can see azeroth begining to shatter in pieces starting with Silitus the region where the sword was impaled into. It was revealed that Xal'atah with the help of Iridikron formed a dark empire underneath azeroth . Maybe at the end of the expansion us the heroes will be defeated by Xal'atah , Azeroth is shattered her core corrupted and from underneath void creatures will invade killing the life on the surface and Azeroth will begin to turn into a dark void entity ....... Anyway whatever it will be as Thrall said "something dark is coming".

At Anduin's core he is pure. He like all mortals are flawed. He has an incredible gift and he knows it. The jailer took this is as weakness and used Anduin's powers to kill countless people. As Thrall stated he will need a lot time to find some way of getting past what he's done.

Fan of WoW, react to the new cinematic. But you don't even know the context behind any of it even though they were big moments in WoW's history that happened fairly recently? Why make a reaction at that point. This reaction falls so flat. Sorry I don't mean to be rude just scratching my head at the question about what happened to anduin, and the surprise at Sargeras' sword. Which was the grand finale of Legion, as well as the entire reason battle for azeroth kick started. You would've had to been out of the game for the past 5+ years to not understand any of this. Which makes me wonder why even react to it then. Because it's the big thing online and you wanted easy views? I don't get it.
