Always fascinating to hear more about how the publishing world works, and Charlie seems like a lovely person to have as your agent!

Here's a hypothetical Q. I've asked a publishing house before & they found it interesting. Ok I've found the MS for the Narnian Chronicles & all the Dr Seuss books lying in a desk drawer. They're unpublished books for kids. No one has ever heard of Lewis or Seuss. Would these 20thC books have a hope of getting published in a changed 21stC market? Telling by the text, both these writers have a certain degree of talent. Why did JKR's HP series get rejected by so many publishers, doubtlessly only to have some of them kick themselves about it later on? How good or not so good was her agent? What would an agent do in the course of an average workday? A day in the life as it were. :-)
