I absolutely love the simplicity & design of this knife. It's like a cross between a Becker BK7 & the full flat grind of an Ontario Rat7. I really cant wait to get mine tomorrow! This will be my first "fancy" knife that actually has a red micarta liner in it. I love it!

See I love the leather sheath. Damn Scab looks like Karl put an excellent edge on this! Hey, it's a knife it is meant to cut. That is the primary job. Striking a ferro, chopping, and everything else are great but not the primary unless you are Rambo living off the land. That said I do love me some chopping and batoning. Your tests give me an idea of how well it is heat treated and holds an edge. Damn spine looked like a flame thrower! Great demo of a great gift from a truly great guy in Karl Ruedger!

I was looking at the Esee 6, great reviews plus warranty second to none. But man, this knife plus sheath even the added wet stone and ferro rod. They really paid attention to detail. I feel like what you get for the price you pay is so worth it with this knife.

Great looking do everything knife, perfect size for many different tasks and the handle looks like it will be comfortable in many different grips. It looks very sharp and functional. Seems to be a pretty good thickness behind the edge as well for slicing and cutting. Careful throwing sparks at the camera though easy way to melt the lens lol. Unfortunately, Made in the USA is no longer a guarantee of quality. It's sad how many manufacturers in the USA are increasingly putting quantity before quality. really sad.

Battle Horse knives, LT Wright, Bark River, Medford, Emerson, Alfaknife and quite a few more would disagree with you. Certainly some manufacturers have slipped but many more have not.
