Gotta say, been watching for a long time and your way for sparking a ferro rod is my favorite. Forget the naysayers.

If this knife had the exact same handle as the Explorer handle and butt, it would be absolutely perfect. I'm still on the fence on getting this knife because I also like the Explorer knife. I love the flat grind on this knife though. The 37 looks like a beautified Becker BK 7. but with a full flat grind like an Esee6 or Rat7. UPDATE: I just got mine today, gotta love that one-day shipping! Seeing this knife is one thing, but to hold & use this knife, is just awesomeness on a whole other level. I agree with you Brian, This is a BEAUTIFUL, heavy duty knife. I cannot find anything wrong with it at all whatsoever. I must say that this knife, to me in my opinion, is about as close as I will ever get to getting that 'perfect' knife, and I do not say that lightly at all, and I have a lot of knives too. I got the micarta handle version.

That seem to a great knife and the sheath looks great also. I have many knives and most of them being full tang like that one and those are the types I like as a primary carry knife on my side and use other knives as a backup for food processing and backup use.

I bought this knife for my 14yr old last Christmas. He has used and somewhat abused the knife. I think its an excellent knife. The MOVA-58 steel seems to hold up well also.

Thats almost a VG10 steel. I lik'em Bryan. I like that you can tighten or remove the grips, I like the blade edge coming down to the handle w/ no gap or cut out, no serrations, not a wide heel. I would like to have had it a tad thicker at the front of the tang. That model 51 has got my eye. 👍 love these sharp saturdays.

I have an Old Timer with rubberized grips I've had forever, cleaned fish and small game, batoned firewood, carved trigger sticks, etc wouldn't trade it for anything. Whenever I watch one of these,I think I need a new knife, but then I hear the price and I think "I've already got a good knife"

It's 2020 and money doesn't go as far as it once did, you won't find good knives much cheaper these days. But knife makers know they can charge you more sim,ply by adding words like survival, bushcraft, extreme, and such- and they do just that. Vaporware and rip-off because people who know no better will see those words and pay more, so that problem is on the user-end. Either it's worth it or it isn't- names and words are irrelevant. This might be worth it, which is a far cry better than what you pay for similar knives with 'bigger' names and fancy words attached.

Looks like it's about time for B.O.a.R.D. v3.0 soon, Bryan. I am waiting for their Model No. 1 to come back in stock. I also saw they are making some models in the N690Co steel, which is a favorite of mine. Stay well. PS - Can you tell if one of those Live Fire tins would fit where the sharpening stone is?
