I definite got the skating rink vibe and then heard inspiration from MJ vocals - of course and you are one of only 3 I've watched who caught the ""Sooth Criminal" invisible hat head-bop! I heard some Boz Scaggs' flutes from "Dirty Low Down", Sugar Hill Gang's classic " Rapper's Delight" and Curtis Blow's "These Are The Breaks!". Love your pause moments, so don't ever change and keep savoring the jewel and gemstone moments! This needs to be on the next Grammys for sure.

I know you haven't heard the album but he will surprise you. He has different genres, and he is nailing it. My favorite song as of now is Shot Glass of Tears. This is my soul song. It's amazing ❤

I will say that out of the three songs he put out this is the one I like the best. I will put it on my play list. The references at the beginning 70/80's roller rinks leads me to believe you must be close in age. I was a kid in the 80s. So you are right about all the nods to Michael Jackson. That lean towards the end reminded me a lot of the one in Smooth Criminal.

Besides all the homages to MJ armys on Twitter have connected the dots and found a LOT of direct references to Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet movie - the wings, the stage is almost identical, Jk sign in the heart, rival families setting w the girl and the fight etc Also ,there was some confusion about the actress , it's not the one who played Diana in The Crown, armys got too excited 😂

I'm not sure if it's been revealed who the woman in the video is. People were speculating it's Emma Corrin (Emma is non-binary by the way) but after watching the mv I don't think it's Emma.

Yeah, it's not Emma, don't actually know why everyone was so sure it was them, they look similar, but if they had gotten such a high profile actor I'm pretty sure they would have publicized that more. As for who actually played her, I'm really sorry I forgot her name, but she is a Hungarian model/actress (love that they gave someone local to filming an opportunity like that), she posted a screenshot of the MV on her story confirming it's her. Hope you can find her name (or maybe you already have, then sorry for spamming you hahaha), she did a really good job! 👍🏻💜

The woman in the video is actually a Ukrainian model Pasha Harulia if anyone was wondering. The director of the MV is also from Ukraine so it makes sense that a lot of the people who worked on this are Ukrainian.

I just read the review. What bothered me the most is they made it sound like BTS disbanded with no mention of their mandatory military service. They only discussed their Festa dinner and made their "hiatus" sound so negative. But anyways I personally love JK's album and like they say success is the best revenge.

The dislike of K-Pop and the fandom dynamics within K-Pop were veeeery apparent in the article🤣 while I do agree with some points made in the article, the very obvious negative bias towards K-Pop that was very obviously already there for them before going into the album makes it hard to read. The way they described Festa 2022 was really weird, especially saying the members were very "pissed" - like yeah, they noticeably had had some drinks, but the article kinda makes it sound like they were super drunk (at least that's what I would see in my head if I read that someone was pissed) and then using the word "disbandment" just shows a very obvious lack of knowledge and interest in how K-Pop (and in general a hiatus of any kind) works. And then at the end the mentioning of certain things that are normal in K-Pop but not in western music was also kind of very weird, making it seem like the furthering of the band-fan relationship is something bad. Just in general kind of weird article😅
