71 year old BTS Army here. Jung Kook's label announced this track as a "subtle homage to Michael Jackson". I really love listening to your breakdowns. You young people are fantastic! At the age of seven, I began 7 years of classical piano. It was my mother's dream that I be involved in the arts. I was not meant to be a concert pianist, but I did become a clay artist, /ceramic sculptor/potter and taught in the art department at the University of Alaska. Since my mother was a soprano and involved with our local concert association, I was able to meet artists such as Leonard Bernstein, Beverly Sills, Isaac Stern, and many more. Lucky me! This song is not Kpop and all of his other solo releases are completely American made. The only S. Korean involved with his solo music is Jung Kook. Even the choreographer/dancers are American. He stated his dream was to be a "huge pop star" and that meant the U.S. pop market and Grammy winning American songwriters, producers, recording studios, etc. This MV was filmed in Budapest Hungary at an abandoned power plant with a notable Ukranian director who directed MVs for Harry Styles and more. ​​​@@basilisk069 that's all great fine and dandy and all, but jungkook has also done incredibly in the songs he's produced from scratch for himself and his group members (see: still with you & your eyes tell). although he does do well when he gets to work, he's just expressed that it's not his favourite responsibility in the world and he'd rather others' help because it can get stressful. even when he's not involved in every single building block step behind the scene, his perfect pitch proves advantageous based on the accounts of those he's worked with for the pace and efficiency of their time spent on projects, and because of which he's often seen taking initiative to conduct vocal harmonies and such within their group work. he may not always be involved in every single detailed step alomg the way, but he knows his thing when it comes to music production and he does his damn thing when he cracks down on it too.
