It's the next day now, and I have read all 600 comments believe it or not 😂 I'm surprised at how overwhelmingly positive everyone has been and I feel a sense of community again, it's been extremely refreshing! Also, a big thank you to all the new Patrons, I've honestly been in freaking panic mode with bills, and this helps ALOT, even if you become a free member, I appreciate every single one of you! 💚

although it may not have as many views and not be as huge of a build, i personally enjoyed this video just as much as the mega builds. I think most people would prefer more frequent uploads in this style rather than long waits between uploads

The whole trend of building bigger is coming to an end, I think. We're seeing it all over the place. A lot of creators are starting to make classic let's play videos like Etho did way back when he started. We're going simple, relaxed, and laid back again! I'm loving this trend.

I definitely agree. It’s one of the reasons why Grian has been really successful this HC season. He’s having a ton of fun. I think this trend is because a lot of the og gaming video viewers from 2014 are adults now and prefer calmer content. While new, younger, viewers are coming, there’s now a significant adult viewership for the gaming scene, which there wasn’t before. Unlike cooking videos as an example, since a 10-16yr old might be less likely to watch them compared to a gaming video. Most of us have, after all, grown up while watching our favourite creators.

for me I always stick in the middle I like seeing nostalgic stuff but I don't go to far on nostalgia where I become an angry like boomer or toxic person that is angry about every updates. Also I do like seeing more new stuff & new content where I enjoy watching or playing but I don't go to far on that where I become one of those toxic stans or annoying kids, so for me I always stick in the middle.

I think a video about how you detail builds would be nice. Maybe one that goes over your building style, how you decide on gradients, and what a building should look like. I often find myself trying to mimic some of the techniques others use like gradients, but I can never get them quite right.
@srensen3081
@srensen3081 3 ай бұрын
practice practice practice as for tools, i believe there is a gradient generator for minecraft blocks use that to get the general idea of how you want your gradient to look, then try to incorporate it into your build eventually, youll find that youve gotten way better at gradients

Jeracraft, I love you. I play Minecraft for almost 13 years now and I hate that most of the creators just following trends and trying to catch the next hype. Going back to the roots and doing some smaller and more detailed chilling builds makes your channel stand out. Its soo relaxing to watch when there are not 1000 jumpcuts and dramatic music. Please continue your great work. Best regards, A true fan of yours since many years!

i love the smaller, more relaxed videos! you have obviously given much thought to your situation and how minecraft build content will always funnel into bigger, crazier builds, which then lead to a burnout. And while i do enjoy these kinds of builds, it can feel exhausting. i have found to take more appreciation in the smaller, cozier builds, as they usually are more detailed. But most of all, i wouldn't want to watch someone exhaust themselves in workload, just to see bigger, more extreme minecraft creations. So let me just say, no matter what, your content is absolutely amazing and still will be, regardless of the size - as long as you don't overwork yourself :)

I'm a member of a wonderful community of content creators with vastly different audiences and most of us agree that retention editing etc is getting out of hand. I think in the future some of those people that doing those content well run out & where the views that are watching those videos well get burnout & start watching something else. That why I always sub to smaller Minecraft KZbinrs because they know how to make content more fun to watch then getting flooded by clickbait or just over edited videos.

Hello @Jeracraft I've started watching your videos a few years ago and was especially fascinated by the project "Kingdoms of Greymane". With every new episode I thought that the build was acctually alive and the people living there would help expand the world. I love your eye for detail, like everything has its own story and special purpose. I've also enjoyed your server-project to bring a world even more to live with real players who can explore your custom map, build civilization and write history together. I personally would also enjoy a more frequent upload-rhythm and see your builds grow. Go on and build the world you want!

Totally agree on the state of KZbin. I've been watching older episodes like podcasts, watching people like Rendog's recent episodes (where he went on vacation and basically just told a story while building slowly) and loving it. A smaller sphere in the midst of all this new content is also Minecraft Longplays -- people willing to just sit, listen/watch, and chill with the video. I hope for more like this :) Simple, easier videos for you that we as viewers get to take in and take inspiration from more.

I hope this video gets some views, you are absolutely right about content having to meet a certain standard in this day and age when in the past it wasn't even required to edit videos. Many times I found myself stopping a let's play because of the amount of work it is to edit videos, I just started a playthrough of a modpack and didn't see myself spending 4h editing every episode... And it still works, I get some views and people are happy I'm not "one of those that make everything epileptic or overedited". Just find your balance and don't think too much about what others will think, minecraft content pioneers showed us that :)

One video idea that could be interesting is how you manage these projects. Often in Survival or even Creative worlds I find myself burning out, building the same things in the same style. Maybe just something in the way of finding a style, developing it, staying motivated and inspired to work on projects. It'd be different but I think a lot of people would appreciate guidance in that area.

I still love all the crazy details and ideas you have dont take me wrong, but maybe you could build a landscape or cave, with like a empty, moody vibe. Gonna be honest, I'd be surprised if Mojang doesn't hire U if they decide to do a "Structure Update" where they upgrade all the structures in the game, (Every single last one of them)

I absolutely agree with your thoughts... It was really fun and relaxing hearing your opinions while watching you build-as always- amazing projects. I really think that returning to this "old" format will be very beneficial for the channel. Just remember that you are and will always be one of the best minecraft creator on KZbin (and a strong part of minecraft history too!) Looking forward to your next videos!!

"Smaller, more relaxed build" Still better than anything I've ever made... ever. including that one house i spent like 5 hours on.

I would love a tutorial on the town hall, tower, etc . that alone would be awesome! no need for over edited huge projects if you don't feel like it. love to see the small detailed video's back!

Man, every time you make a build wether its small or huge I am just flat out blown away by your skill. Whatever content you make i have enjoyed it all and i have no doubt i will still do so in the future. I can't wait to see what you're gonna do/build next.

I enjoy the smaller scale and more detailed builds. It gives inspiration and a somewhat achievable goal. Its also easier to churn out a video for it 😄

Bro. You finally got back to what I came for in the first place. Chill transformations and builds on a playble scale.

I'm a bit late to the party but I would love to see videos like this one more often :) It's a lot easier to take inspiration from builds like these than megaprojects and as you said, it's refreshing to see more relax videos nowadays

Finally see the person behind the skin. LoL. I enjoy watching all your builds because it does give me ideas on what to how to build and what or how stuff looks. The time between videos has never bothered me since I understand the time you put into each one, from doing the building, editing of the build, to editing the videos. As someone who does content creation themselves, I understand. Keep up the great content.

This is the type of content I have been looking for. A nice chill and creative build of a village that isn’t a mega build. This turned out beautiful

Please do make content that you enjoy. I’m not a typical Minecrafter, but I really appreciate a creator who does their own thing. I love watching builders, get a lot from tutorials and hint videos because I love to build too. I also find peaceful longplays really relaxing and I follow those that play fun stuff like Minecraft Bingo. The common theme in all this is enjoyment. Try not to stress about the views and do what makes you happy. Minecraft is an amazingly flexible game, and has so much to offer in so many different ways. ❤

The giant builds are impressive, but I also like the detail and focus of a smaller build. Some of my favorite Minecraft videos have only one building. Make what you want, I'm enjoying it either way.

This might be one of your best videos. Your personality and humor get to shine, you let your interest and creativity guide you, and its just fun no pressure. This season the hermits are taking a more relaxed approach and its so welcome. As a viewer all I want and I think most viewers is just to enjoy the creators personality and imagination and have fun with them. If you're having fun I will be able to enjoy and appreciate what you create and I think that a lot of people could agree. Stay awesome Jeracraft 😊❤

i love big epic construction and i love small, relaxing human-sized construction too, the two content offers differents vibes and it's good to take on each and not be fixed on one thing

Loved this, I adore village transformation videos. Shame there's so few of them, they're my favorite. I'd love to see you transform an ancient city or something next ❤
