Sometimes the show tried so hard to make viewers think that Stefan was ‘the good one’ or ‘better man’ but then we get scenes like in this episode and it just reconfirms what I already think. Stefan literally fed off of and killed children ON A HOLIDAY. He wiped out an entire village. There is no better man if we’re judging based on the bad things they’ve done. You can think there’s a better man suited to be with another character or a better man for a situation but if we’re talking actions, both did horrible things.

You have to understand that the writers of this show are very “emotional” writers. The season has some story/ action, but the little callbacks to previous seasons and emotional scenes were the goodbye to this show. It’s not suppose to be a cinematic action packed Hollywood movie.
