Thank you Jesus for never giving up on me even when I was at my worst. I was a white separatist from the age of 14 to 31. When I was 31 I was shot four times at one time by Nashville Metro swat. I was in a prison hospital for 2 years where I had to relearn how to Walk again. I didn't eat a meal from October 09 until March 2011. I was shot once in the stomach, twice in the leg , and once in the right arm. I died twice and flatline and had visions. I was in a doorway and looking out into the desert. I saw a man with a long white robe and he had long brown hair with a long brown beard. He also was carrying a stick as long as he was tall that went from the desert floor to over his head. My family told me that was called a staff in the bible. And the biblical figure I saw was not white like me he was a very brown man. And before I was shot I worshipped Odin. From the ages of 14 to 30 I was a confused white separatist and I thought the Jews were Satan's children. I grew up loving Hitler and the Nazis. When I was in my 20s I would have worked in a death camp and I would have killed Jewish men,women, and children. But after getting shot at 31 and seeing a brown biblical figure out in the desert, then reading in the Bible where Jesus is at the well with the Samaritan woman and he tells her that she knew not what she worshipped for he knew what he worshipped for salvation is of the Jews. If I would have read that at 14 instead of 31 I would have never got Nazi tattoos and I wouldn't have any swastikas tattooed on me right now. Hey I might have swastikas tattooed on me but I don't have hate in my heart anymore !!! I'm now a born again Christian and I am no longer in the white separatist movement. I now love everyone and pray for my enemies !!! God is great and I thank God for showing me the experience of being shot four times at one time. I'm a new being !!!!

However, so are love and strength and His peace that passes all understanding. We had three more that are all great adults. Yet you never forget the loss of one of your children. A good friend once told me that "You can't diagnos yourself on what you deserve, only God can do that. You need to stop living your life based on how you see yourself, and look at how God looks at you. You are a Child of God, He never wanted you to be perfect, He just wants your heart." Don't fall for the lie, that you know more than anyone else what you deserve, you are wrong. God, more than anyone knows what you deserve, and He loves you anyway! He still views you as His Child, if your heart belongs to Him, thats all He wants. Trust me man. God can and will give you more peace and joy than you can ever imagine. Be warned, though, that it will most likely not be overnight. God has a way of doing things, and sometimes that take time. That and sometimes God needs us to give up things that we may be holding on to that thinks we shouldn't. If you accept His Son as your Lord and savior, you recieve His free gift of eternal life. If you from there strive after Him, and follow his lead, you will find healing, and so much more.

I pray that God delivers you from your depression if it be His will or that He helps you to manage it so that it no longer controls your life and that through this you will be drawn and drawing closer to God. It took me years to realize it and I am still learning it, but God is the only one that can heal and change. And that change and healing does not come over night. It takes faith, patience, prayer, fellowship and encouragement and honesty with other believers, and for me also a christian counselor. There is no shame in needing a little extra help(: Pray for me as well for strength and wisdom to get through my studies and hopefully pass all my classes, because I am so behind and to tackle, my depression,anxiety, ADD, etc.. and draw closer to God...

I love that song :) I actually loved it so much, that now im a bit sick of it. but anyway, a little while ago, I was feeling so alone, I didn't put this thought into words, but I thought that God didn't understand me, I thought that because he is this big powerful creator on the universe, that he wouldn't understand my struggles. And I felt like I couldn't trust anyone, because they wouldn't understand. Because I thought their lives were "perfect" but I was wrong. And all through that time when I was feeling so alone, That was my favorite song, pretty much every day I was hearing "You are NOT alone!! You are NOT ALONE!! You are not ALONE!!" over and over again, but I didn't get it. Finally, at a camp I went to, I shared a bit of what I was going through, but I was one of the last to go, and When I heard my friends stories, the same friends I thought had perfect lives, I heard that they were going through some pretty hard stuff, and one of the girls, the almost same thing as me. And I realized that night, that I was NOT alone, and that is also when I realized I was hearing that over and over again, And I am so thankful to God for that. For that night, that I realized that I am NOT alone. Also, I learned this verse (I forgot where it is from) It is, "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability. But with the temptation, he will also provide a way of escape, so that you may be able to endure it." In the first part, you can also say that no suffering had overtaken you that is not common to man. Do you have a broken leg? other people have had a broken leg before. Are your parents divorced? other people have divorced parents too, are you abused? are you bullied? same thing, other people have felt it too, and you are NOT alone :) :) stay strong, I will be praying for you :D

***** Thank you for saying this. I have needed this too. I went to Winter Jam yesterday and heard this and it just spoke to my heart. I have been diagnosed with Add, but I also dealt with depression and anxiety for years and that just got diagnosed by a psychologist this year. I am also getting more testing done to see if I may have other disorders. Your prayers would be most welcome and music like this is what encourages me to seek more uplifting Christian music and compared to music like this all the other foolishness I usually consume my mind with. I lost my dad 2-14-24. I was mad,lost,confused,didn't want to be here anymore but two days later I saw the most beautiful sunrise I'd seen in a long time. I instantly turned my radio to a local contemporary christian music channel and this song was coming on. I love this song so much. Jesus knew my pain and my struggle from day one. I didn't know that all I have to do was surrender to Him completely. Since I have made a habit of trying to solve my problems my whole life, it is a everyday struggle to just fully surrender to Him but when I do it feels so rewarding and I have a peace of mind. It is hard to give yourself over to somebody who you don't trust but Jesus loves me and He wants to save me.

I went to Winter Jam this past Friday. He sang this song and I ended up on the floor crying. I went with my mom and she didn't sit by me. The stranger next to me in the front row lifted me up and held me and cried with me the rest of the song. This song hits so deep right now… when you think about the suffering that this man had to endure, the humility that he had to show being the Son of God, the perfect lamb, without blemish, walking in love and doing the will of God continually to then be rejected and betrayed by his brothers his family. To die for the people he came to save, to die unjustly. There were times recorded where Jesus hungered, thirsted, was without a place to stay, and felt alone and where He even questioned “Father why has thou forsaken me?” He trusted in God’s will even until death and death could not conceal him no more for he was not worthy of it and he overcame. He knows the hurt, the heartache, we being sinners deserve the pain and hurt that he had to endure yet he stood in our place. The hurt and the worry, the loneliness, the betrayal of family and friends, the thirst and hunger for physical and spiritual food and drink… He knows. I might not go to church as much as I wish I could but I am a strong believer in God. A few months ago, I was extremely depressed even to the point where I was considering suicide. I can relate, I sometimes have suicidal thoughts, even thought I never actually attemped it. I only went so far as starting to plan how I would do it. The least painful way, after putting all my affairs in order. Well, at least I tell myself it will be. The last two times I planned them. One was starving to death on a small boat with sleeping aids to help me get through it. Another was starving to death and exposure to a forest. But this time I didn't want to take the sleeping aids. I wanted to take my three kitties with me at first, but then I decided what was best for them is having new homes. It's a weird state of mind that makes one want to commit suicide. Plus, the heart wounds, the pain, the suffering. Wanting to escape the pain. Numbing doesn't work anymore. Supressing doesn't work anymore. In the end only Jesus can heal and only He Knows how to give the grace and help in time of need. The answer is always God's Love. I cry and start to feel better.
