I live on the edge of a river and water meadow outside Guildford. Massive drop in insects. All feels very concerning. A friend farms in Kenya - says the lights used to fill with insects. No longer...

Earthworms disappeared 2 years ago in NW GA..US After 2 nights warmer than days crops shut down…also happened past 2 yrs….I’m a Horticulturist and this terrified me to the bone I started calling every research Horticulturist on planet and we all see the asteroid now…I cried with a couple. I suspect the insect decline is caused directly by CO2 increase…which is over a 50% increase…meaning some %decrease in O2. And increase in H2O atmosphere absorption. My point is insects cannot breathe and cannot evolve fast enough to adapt to lower O2 %. Just a hypothesis

Back in the day you used to have to clean your registration plate after a long drive in the country so you could read it again. Really awful decline. Millions of years they’ve been around and we’ve all but wiped them out in 20 years.

I'm a gardener and there has been virtually no wasps the last two years which are omnivores which is strange because the foods all there for them box hedge blight is going on around the country by an unvasion of box caterpillers thats on the wasps menu.

Remember when there used to be articles every year advising that you clean the insects off of your radiator? Go look at your radiator in July or August. Almost nothing.

Germany has study that their flying insect declined from 1990 to 2017 by 76%

Puerto Rico has similar study finding decline by 78-98% from 1982 to 2018.

I do that all the time
