If you take a blade of grass and touch the electric fence with the tip. Slowly slide it closer to your finger. You'll start to feel a small pulse. No strong shock. Effect varies based on how insulated your shoes are and how close your fingers get to the fence.

I must admit, that's the best reaction to an electric fence I've seen 😂. I was unclipping the fence so I could step over it at one point and it arced from the jaws into my finger, made my whole arm twitch and I dropped the alligator clip.

@@user-TheTrueGibly incorrect, you just have to be grounded, the actual electric fencing wire doesn't have a circuit, just one wire out, if that makes sense. Shoes can usually be enough to stop it, so when you kneel into the ground it gets you 😁

Pro tip: if you’re ever going to touch some thing electric to see if there’s voltage, do it with the back of your hand. That way if the voltage makes your hand muscles contract they contract away from the electricity instead of clamping down and forcing your hand to hold onto it

Fun fact: when attempting to test a live wire with your hand, use the back of your hand. The current can make your hand muscles clench rendering you unable to release the wire.

Electric fences used for farming don't have a constant current, they have a sort of pulse effect thing. They go on and off every couple of seconds to reduce the chance of an animal which gets trapped on the fence getting a heart attack from the constant voltage and give it a chance to get away (or in this case a person who grabs the fence).

In fact, you gave a synonym of the word I used. Electrified and electrocuted are literally the same thing. Every definition in every dictionary will tell you that. I hate to be THAT guy, but technically it’s a shock. It’s only considered an electrocution if the person ends up dead from it. In every other scenario it’s just considered a shock. Sorry, I’m studying to become an electrician lol

@@peacemaker2427 depends. Usually hairdryers are quite powerful and draw a lot of Amps. Prob around 15 amps. It would need to be on its own circuit and if anything else was on the same receptacle/ outlet as the hairdryer, there would be too much Amps for that receptacle (residential ones are rated 15Amps 120Volts) and it could, and most likely would cause a short circuit, spark, etc. All that being said, it takes incredibly low amounts of Amperage to kill somebody, so yes, you’re “hella dead” my good sir.
