Jeremy Corbyn is a broadly compassionate person with a great track record of advocating for reconciliation between groups in conflict and reduction in violence. He's been a long-term supporter of equality and has walked the walk when it's come to attempting to change policies etc. to bring the changes about. Therefore, Conservative press has (successfully) fought to slander him because he is a progressive, whereas conservatism is rooted in being regressive (i.e. believing that things were better 'back in the day' and trying to go back to those times). He isn't perfect (like how he was only weakly supporting Remain in the Brexit debate, and probably thought that leaving was better), but his policies would have made society generally better rather than worse, as we've seen with the likes of Boris Johnson, Liz Truss and now Rishi Sunak. But the character assassination was incredibly effective to the point that Labour had to get rid of him to appease the centrists and slightly right voters that dislike the Tories who are now swinging far-right, so that they can guarantee a win in the next election.

What matters is that we get on the right side of this paradox. Our infrastructure is overburdened and we certainly don't need illegals.
@The_Phoenix_Saga Жыл бұрын
Surprised? Our economy is dependant on a currency based on a debt it can never repay. THAT'S why neither government or opposition are doing anything to stop migration. More bodies means more debt to spread to keep the pound from default... but eventually you run out of room for the bodies...or they turn on you.
@lovarols5161 Жыл бұрын
its "overburdened" because they don't want to pay the locals. and they hire skilled workers and then complain "net migration has increased" 🤦🏻♀️🤷

Even though i voted for Corbyn i just cant agree with him on this issue. Mass Immigration is having a negative effect on our society, its eroding our cultures and values as British people and crime is rising, the vast majority coming from France are men. There is other ways to tackle the issue of a declining population like promoting people to have children by either paying them or other means and we could also start by increasing wages for the NHS so people actually want to work there

The real reason, we are getting paid less and it's a race to the bottom is the wealthy have tricked us into hating one another. We get our kicks from knowing others are worse off than us.

He should of accepted the result of the Referendum. He was very anti EU all his political life just like his hero Tony Benn. He became leader suddenly flipped flopped and crashed in the Old Labour Leave seats. Plus, Immigration is captured importing an OVER SUPPLY of labour in, which is a race to the bottom particularly for the working class. Oligarchs love immigration. Capitalism will never invest in training or increase pay and conditions if it can just fly in labour Back in the day the Left understood this, even Bernie Sanders was anti immigration.
