The nationalised services went to shit because the Tories cut all funding from them under Margeret Thatcher so they could sell bits of them off to their etonian mates. It's the exact same shit they are pulling now with the NHS. Do not fall for it.

Yea that was such a good finish lol +jameslock1 You're right, people do loose more of their physical metal faculties the older they get :) Also it's actually a joke in the 21st century lunch isn't free for everyone. Surely we should be working to build infustructure that can provide at the very least basic human needs to people. (food, water, shelter etc)

jameslock1 It's that cynical attitude that has impoverished our country so much. People are brainwashed by the (billionaire controlled) mass media empire to think that the only way to survive is through near slave labour or becoming elite, trampling on others and nothing in between. Sadly, you've fallen for the mantra. Wish you well and that you can rediscover the humanity in your heart again.

Yes, we are not an Economy - we are People! When we get the humanity right and the communities looked after, the Economy roars like a lion. Too much ignoring of the People been going on and for too long. We didn't break the Global Finances any more than the aged pensioners of Greece did LOL The Banks did it - with Greed and Fraud. And they've never been made to pay for what they did. Well they can start contributing NOW, with everyone else, and put things to right.

@chigwife862

Government spending was not unsustainable. We've had a huge debt literally for centuries, but it doesn't matter because the banks only care if you have a good credit rating and can afford to pay the interest. It's literally impossible to eliminate the deficit completely because then you have to cut taxes, and then the deficit goes back up. Credit cards and personal debts have nothing at all to do with the economy as a whole. People can only borrow unsustainably when the banks allow them, and it was the banks that caused the 2008 crash (not the Labour party, if anything it was Thatcher and co's deregulation that allowed it to happen), who then actually got richer in the aftermath, while the rest of us had to pay for it.

Finally, an interview where the BBC treat Jeremy Corbyn with an ounce of respect, imagine what the result would have been if they had done this over the last few months, as opposed to their usual disgraceful, blatant bias.

Oh for... will people just stop this? Do you not notice that both sides are constantly claiming the BBC is biased? Do you not think maybe it's you that's just being biased? Expecting better for the people you like, and worse for the people you don't?
@manjackson2772
@manjackson2772 7 жыл бұрын
MyLittleDashie 7 Everyone expects that, but one side has evidence on their side. How about that shoot to kill video that was ruled as misleading by Ofcom and that they were still using on their website practically up to the close of polling? How about the presence of arch Tories Neill, Marr, Paxman, former Young Conservative Nick Robinson, and Kuenssberg who seems to have some kind of bizarre vendetta against Jeremy? How about that study by the LSE into whether Jeremy was fairly represented in the media that showed essentially everybody was constantly misrepresenting him, including the BBC? At some point you have to admit which way it's all pointing.

JC Sendon Who's stupid? Jeremy Corbyn bought about the peace deal in Northern Ireland. He did this by talking & trying to understand BOTH SIDES. That doesn't make him terrorists loving, but a sensible reasonable human being. If we carry on the way YOU think we should bring about peace, we'll have blown ourselves up within 10years. It wasn't a difference of 2200, that was a figure give to be the votes needed in the closest swing seats to de-seat the possibility of the tories+DUP having a majority (and i think perhaps enough for a Labour+SNP+Lib+Green majority). The difference in votes was around 800,000. But obviously electoral fraud, and miscounts should never be taken lightly- they always are though- this happened previous elections and nothing really came of it did it?.

It's a woman who has a majority, calls an election - no reason for that, by the way - and is so arrogant and certain she'll get a higher majority than she already had that she turns up to no debates, doesn't even appear on QT with the opposition because she doesn't understand what she's doing and is so incompetent that she can't even be arsed to resign and thinks that sacking two people no-one ever heard of is going to come good. She won't last the year. Oh yeah, and the terrorist, homophobic, anti-equality party, the DUP? Don't forget they're her "friends and allies"

Corbyn's so weak he fought a leadership campaign he was thought to lose, then was ridiculed for winning, fought another leadership battle, was ridiculed for winning, then fought an election that was meant to give his opponent an overwhelming win and wipe him out, which in fact led to his being in a far stronger position than before. Yeah, he's so weak.

LE DB Well he knows bugger all about Singapore, and resorts to petty insults there. This makes him sound like an idiot to those of us who would love to see Singaporean levels of education, public services, safety, wealth, commerce, et cetera in the UK. He resorts to pointless slogans like "jobs-first, Brexit"...which are thoroughly meaningles. His policies relating to the expropriation of private property through taxation are despicable. How about that?

either party needed 326 seats to win, no one won, but Tories lost 12 seats and Labour gained 32. Labour did not lose a single seat, vastly increased their mandate, and would never ask such a socially backward party as the DUP to prop up it's minority to form a government. The Tories have acknowledged themselves the party is crumbling before their eyes, many senior Tories are blaming no one but May. i joined Momentum because I was sick of thick Sun readers dictating who should be prime minister when i knew upon knew Jeremy was speaking economic sense as proven by countries such as portugal, to turn around a meaningless austerity programme. tHe tories never believed ja free NHS or social care or free school lunches. everything they do is to protect off shore untaxed wealth. they allow those havens to exist and we know most of them have dealing with these havens. no we're not spammers or scum, we are hard working people who are tired of thick idiots voting for a system that allows zero hours contracts to exist, 20, 000 police officers to lose their Jobs, many of the countries schools to lose almost two thirds of their budgets in the name of paying off a debt as if we are naughty kids who spent too much on christmas. there are only 5 countries in the world that have no external debt and i bet most people have never heard of them!

the moron who complicated the Brexit negotiations was cock-sure Theresa May for calling a snap election seven weeks before the Brexit negotiations took place, after saying she wasn't going to. she was the one who was so sure of gaining a bigger mandate she was happy to talk about allowing fox hunting, repealing the Ivory ban, ending free school meals and imposing a dementia tax BEFORE AN ELECTION. her stupid fault for presuming she'd gain a larger mandate. we are not being bribed with sweeties. we want our taxes to pay for schools and the NHS , not to bolster a system that allows the worlds billionaires to put their money in tax havens and not pay their way. Google and Apple pay no tax. and you think you are voting for a party that cares about people??? The tory ideology does not give a shit about any of us. your not even a tory. Murdoch is a tory, you are a pawn. and if you'd bother to read a proper newspaper you might note many senior Tories blaming no one but May herself for putting us at such risk just before brexit is about to unfold. and many senior Tories have admitted the labour manifesto is brilliant!

In my entire life Ive never voted because Ive never respected any politician apart from Tony Benn, and I was too young to vote in those days. Finally, with Corbyn I found someone I could respect, someone who actually seems like a decent human being, so I went and voted, knowing full well he wouldnt win. But I know a lot of people who didnt vote for him, and Im fine with that. If you feel that some people are getting aggressive because you dont agree with their views, that is because in this day of social media, people have forgotten how to be civilised and just say whatever they like, as they are safe and hidden behind their numerous accounts. If you were having the same discussion in person, Im sure most people would behave differently. Social media has killed off people's manners and tolerance. Nonetheless, we should all try and respect each other's views, and if you give respect, I guarantee you'll get it back. All the best.

Carl New That's exactly why I voted for him. Give me an honest socialist any day over a corrupt, lying neo-conservative. The tide is changing my friend. Companies can't just take money off shore. If they operate business in this country they have to pay tax. Starbucks can't just take profits off shore and claim they don't have to pay tax. It's up to the government to force them to pay. It's just that for 40 years we haven't had a government willing to stand up to the multi-national corporations. Additionally there is a growing movement globally to crack down on those companies that do try and avoid tax.

There are still far too many brainless people out there that think in terms of right wing paper headlines whose owners were shitting their selves they might actually have to pay some tax, lecturing on patriotism which being registered in tax havens and in the case of the daily mail had family that supported the Nazi's, yet these are the people who smeared Corbyn. yes, I'm an idiot for them claiming Jeremy to be 'their' prime minister, yet the only prime minister in this country (United Kingdom) is currently Theresa May. If they wanted someone else to represent them, they should have instead put #THATSMYPREFEREDCANDIDATEFORPRIMEMINISTER

Who can blame him Nathan, he has battled the old establishment Blairites, the establishment media, the Tories AND WON. The Tories are guilty of everything they accused Corbyn of being and are now squirming in their own rancid hate filled juices.

@misandrist

Doesn't matter in all honesty Sarah; a month ago Labour was predicted to lose over 100 seats and be decimated. Instead, Labour won 30 and gained many Tory strongholds ie. Kensington and Canterbury who've NEVER voted Labour in before. This is one of the biggest turnarounds in British political history, even his critics are admitting that. He may have lost the election, but to say that the Tories "won" it would be a massive mistake. They've lost their majority, and with DUP refusing a formal coalition they won't regain it. No majority, no authority. Props to Corbyn for powering through. EDIT: also, we run on FPTP not proportional representation, therefore, the overall number of votes does not count, only the 'winning' amount of votes by constituency. Although, if we were to go by PR in this election then the Tories would've lost even MORE seats. Boo hoo.

Sarah Nicholl No one won. That's the point. Labour were weak with all the in-fighting. May tried to take advantage by wiping Labour out... It spectacularly backfired. May now being propped up by the DUP. Being anti-gay and anti-abortion is not going to be popular on the mainland. This will hurt the conservatives even if only by association

Alice Jiggins no. Incorrect. Leadership rules are unclear on the point and in any case, on two occasions he has won the majority of votes from party members. Unlike the leader of another party.

#JC4PM he's got a great personality and is covering the people's needs. the tories only want the rich to win and are quite selfish tbh. labour might have bad rep due to putting the country in debt and things like that but right now everything's changed especially with brexit on the way.

Sidz the tories tripled the national debt in half the time. from labours £700b mostly due to financial crash gordon brown spent it to stop banks collapsibg at 2010 to £1.8 trillion in 2017 while forcing austerity on us. where did it all go? what did the tories spend it on? tax cuts to big businesses and their rich friends.
