When you are outsourcing your editing, do you change the way you shoot? Or do you just send the same photos you normally would work on yourself? I looked at outsourcing and the ones I've seen want HDR which means I have to bracket my shots.

It depends on the type of images you want, but the two main types of outsourced images are HDR and Flambient and they both require extra photos to be taken on site in a specific manner. There is only so much you can do with a single exposure image

Hmmm a question alot of folks in our industry are trying to figure out ! Awesome information as always good Sir ! Question though, speaking about editing....what should I be looking for in a monitor ? I've seen the question asked in various facebook forums...and the suggestions are usually pretty expensive...north of $500 most times. Is that necessary though ? Like would something like a Dell S2721HN be good (something I'm looking to buy)

Now this is where I might differ from most people. I am all about getting the best bang for my buck and I have found that the most important thing is to have a monitor calibration tool to keep the colors accurate. I use two HP monitors that are about $280 each(I can tell you the exact model if you want it) and I make sure to use my colormunki once every few weeks and calibrate them. Even though they are the same monitor, when they both first load up the difference in color tones is obvious and as soon as the color calibration software kicks in you can see it right away. Keeping your monitors calibrated is more important than the monitor itself in my opinion because it guarantees what you're seeing are the correct color tones and not just the ones estimated by the factory when it was built.

Do you have any websites or companies you use for outsourcing?

I'm working with edithere, they charge $3 per high-end image. The quality is really worth the price?

Hey there Emily! Honestly I have not heard of that company in particular, but I can tell you that the editor I use is a little bit cheaper than that. If you DM me on Instagram or send me an email and I can set you up with my editor 😁
