How To Fix Printing/Wi-Fi Problems for Canon Pixma and Maxify Printers [June 2022]

At the beginning of June, certain Canon Pixma and Maxify printers suddenly stopped working properly. Some specific problems include boot loops, failing to print, and freezing. Here's what I had to do to fix my Canon printer.

We have spent two days now because we keep giving up and going back on this Canon TR8520 printer it will not for the life of us connect to our wireless router when everything in the house is connected to it. It will not find it. It will not allow us to input a password. It keeps saying error failed. This is absolutely the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever spent my time on.

Thank you so much for this video, I downloaded the files from the link you took us to. Today I got 3 good pages printed after 3 weeks of blank pages, but then after those 3 pages it was blank pages the rest of the day. I have a feeling I do not know enough about this problem. After downloading and installing the files, there was no difference... blank pages, like the downloaded files had not changed anything. I will be visiting here for a while just in case someone post a solution.

My Canon printer 5300 although it can print it says when trying to scan : USB disconnected, Scanner is off. Neither of these things is true. Could it be that a long time ago someone connected the WiFi which still has a blue symbol on the printer which I can not discover where to turn it off?

Thanks for the amazing compliment! I wish I had a good answer for my speech and cadence methods, but it's really just how I talk everyday. Years ago, people told me I should do radio. This is close enough I guess, lol. I did have a college English professor that told me something I'll never forget and I use their advice regularly. They told me that whenever you write/explain a topic, assume the audience has no idea what you're talking about. That way, you can speak more concisely and with confidence.

If anyone trying to fax I've had it from canon itself that in order to use the fax function a phone line must be plugged into the back of the printer You can't fax from the printer only over WiFi

HI will you have any ideas on connection with Printer? got Deco x50 , a new canon printer E4570 , using Macair , printer can connect to wifi as per screen, I can at time see appearing on my mac when want to add but not consistent and suspect Deco is a possible issue for poor connection, printer appear on my Deco list of connected items ? Printer seems to be connected to Wifi but cant seem to add my printer on my mac ! thanks in advance :)

I have a TS3522. I was good until i got a new router and had to change my wifi password. Now it won't connect at all. It says it doesn't even read my printer now.

@@dzana880 No. unfortunately i didn't. I wound up getting a printer cable and hooking up to my tower on my desktop. It works now but not on wifi. But, one thing...after I did that I went into my phone wifi and picked the printer wifi name and I can print from my phone. I'm sorry i don't have any other answer. Maybe try that.

Hi I hope someone can help me. I have a canon Pixma printer mg6150 and although somehow I have got it to scan, I have then gone to the Cannon website to d load a printer driver, although they could only give me one from the MG6100 series, so thinking that will probably work, it did unpack and start installing but stopped with a sort of error msg saying my pc couldn't find the printer. Maybe the driver is not right or too old. Even when I try to print using an SD card in the printer's slot, it says rather the file is too big(absolutely not) or it's not recognisable. I'm not sure what to do as I have also tried on two other comps and still no go. If anyone can help, that would be great.

Hello, Jeremy. You explain things so clearly and slowly; but, I have the Canon Pixma TS3122, and it is spitting a terrible error code at me and flashing lights like crazy! I have never had a single problem with it, except for replacing ink cartridges, of course. I have loved it for the whole time I've had it. Suddenly, today, after printing about 10 different documents throughout the day, it STOPPED. And it's flashing an error code "P10." There is no apparent paper jam; I cannot access the ink cartridges because the carrier does not come to where I ca access it (must be stuck in the side); I find nothing else in my "printers and devices" folder indicating there is a connection issue. And I am not at all "technically-inclined." Is it a goner, or can you think of anything for me to try??
