Also sobbing like a baby at the Kenny/cave scene. As a Mother, you DO worry about your kids and what will happen to them when you die. My Mom died 20 yrs ago and she IS always with me, every day. I'm w/Ravener. I've watched this scene several times and feel the same every time. GREAT writing/acting.

You brought up a good point about the "nightmare creatures" not being "All seeing and all knowing," and I would like to believe that this is true. However, there are a few things that they were aware of and I'm wondering how the "nightmare creatures" acquired this information: 1. When Boyd, Abby and Ellis were traveling into "FROM," Boyd told the story about him being know was "Mr. Fish and Loaves," how was the "evil entity" able to obtain that information? 2. Sara mentioned to Father Khatri that they were aware that he buried a bag, how would the "evil entity" or perhaps the "good entity" be aware of the candy bar being inside that bag? 3. When Julie and Tabitha first arrived at Colony House, how did the young man know Julie's name? 4. How did the "voice on the radio" know that Tabitha was digging underneath the house? I'm not against going on the offense (and no, I have never served in the military), but normally I think you would need to do some "RECON" (Military reconnaissance is a military operation that involves gathering information about a foreign nation's military forces, activities, or resources), and I think the citizens of "FROM" are very limited in the information that they have gather so far. Furthermore, as you stated (good point), you don't know how many of the "nightmare creatures" there are? Are they positive that they are fully asleep during the daytime? What weaknesses do they have (you witnessed them destroy the "box," and the milkman nearly decapitated the cow with one blow)? Are the caves the only place that they sleep and how many points of entry and exits exists? I'm not sure the of the limits of the "evil entity's" knowledge, but I would proceed with extreme caution because you are dealing with an opponent that has astronomical advantage over you (Boyd is aware of this advantage since he is ex- military).

We def know that at least one 'entity' (good or bad) can interact with the outside world, like Khatri's 'voice of God' or knowing of the 'fish and loaves' nickname. Within Fromville it seems both good and bad have ability to monitor things. I think Sara's voices that drew the chocolate logo were 'good' and must have watched Khatri bury the satchel. The voice on Jim's antenna I thought was bad, and he knew of Tabitha digging. One monster said they know all of their (townsfolk) names. I just don't have enough info to categorize the 'powerful' entities vs Sara's spirit voices, which are 'agents' of something powerful (BIW?) or are powers themselves. I do have faith that it will eventually be revealed

Maybe the thing with Elgin is maybe it wasn’t a dream, maybe he knew bout this place and was having visions on the bus but when he got to the town he forgot what he knew bout the town and his memory is coming back in the form of a nightmare. Kinda on how Victor’s memory. Idk it’s a theory

Okay, one more thing... The monsters. In mythology, what kind of monster feeds off fear and pain? I think Randall can be a good guy when he wants to be. Jade is my favorite, he has the best lines, and I dont care for Julie. Shutting up now

Donna's going to be the first to go when the town resorts to cannabalism. All that meat and fat would carry the townsfolk straight through the winter and beyond.

Don't mind me commenting aloud here, lol, you guys have given me more to chew on. Theres a guy who has been making the rounds online named Taran. The guy has some awesome theories. I saw another place where the theorist thought Kenny's mom caused the food to be found, kinda as a final wish for her son. Taran talked about the colors. Everything is blue, yellow, red/pink, green, black and white.

I think Mrs. Liu was connected to the source of whoever or whatever was supplying the diner's food. When she was in the diner food magically appeared in the diner. When she was not in the diner, there was no food in the diner. That would explain why no one tried to steal food from the unattended diner (the biggest source of food in Fromland); but, they all went to assault Mrs. Liu to steal a relatively few jars of preserved veggies. It would have been easier to steal from the diner, and they would have gotten more food. I think on some level, the people knew there was no food in the diner because Tian Chen wasn't present in the diner. So, they went to her house to steal, which really doesn't make sense for them to do. Also, I believe the veggies they found by the lake and cabins are a trap. They found the veggies too easily.

I think Fatima is going betray the town later in the season. And I think the dog is how they heard boyd say u can't break me right after he said it the dog barked and ran away probably not a real dog but a entity

During the livestream chat, I jokingly said that they will use Jim as bait to lure the monsters, in an attempt to capture a live monster. If it works - great! They've captured a live monster. If it doesn't work, at least they're rid of Jim (who a lot of viewers don't like). So, it's a win-win situation. But, I may be on to something. The monsters don't seem to attack/kill the people who have the worms inside them. Nor do the monsters seem to attack/kill the Cicada People (Julie, Marielle, and Randall). I wouldn't be surprised if (as part of his redemption arc) Randall is used as a lure to trap one of the monsters. Also, what time do the monsters go to bed? A few seconds/minutes right before they return to the caves would probably be the best time to trap a monster, right before the sun rises.

when they show the ..woman/monster/ghost whatever it is, who tries to drown Elgin, it is also shown from his perspective under water the first time. So its expected that people think its Fatima, but its probably not her but, related to her and the pregnancy. You can see more clearly in the 3rd season so far, its not Fatima. I think some way Elgin will play a role in her story and the pregnancy, just not sure what yet. But I don't think he is a future son or anything like that. I think its time travel in this show but not like that.

Yea I originally thought it could be Fatima related at first as well. It looked pretty similar in season 2. Now I'm not so sure, especially with them casting an Asian actress for the role. Looking forward to learning more about her though.

everybody hates on Jim its a shame, he is in a hard spot in life. Tabitha blames him, because she needs somebody to lash out at over what happen to the son.. It seems like they both are equally at fault from the way the story is told...but he has to take that from her..its expected in a circumstance like this. Imagine taking the burden for something like this, even though its not your fault but you want to save your family but your wife keeps pushing away...In the process of dealing with Tabitha's somewhat selfish emotions, he neglected his other kids.. Jim makes some choices on the show that I wouldn't as a parent.. Boyd would have had to fight me that day for example because its no way I was letting my teenaged daughter have a tantrum and move to colony house on choosing day... But all in all he is not bad guy I don't know why he is so hated. His skills might come in useful building a trap to catch one of the monsters, being that he is a engineer or whatever he does with the roller coasters.

Yea Jim catches alot of hate, but as we just saw in ep 2 it looks like Tabitha was just as neglectful as Jim was after the death of Thomas. So yea it's definitely not just Jim who is flawed.

You brought up some good points about Jim and I don't think he is a "bad guy" either, he's just trying to hold his family together and he's dealing with the lost of a child, and a pending divorce (which means he is going to lose Tabitha, Julie and Ethan in some ways). That has to weigh heavy on his mind, then it's compounded by him and his family currently being residents of "FROM."

My main issue with Jim is he leaves his kids, they're not a priority for him. For him his wife is, he'll abandon again

Jim is my favorite character because he's so real and flawed. He's not a trope, he's hasn't been placed on a pedestal by the TV viewing audience or the other characters. He is human. He is just like how a real human, not a written/scripted TV character, would act if stuck in Fromland. In other words, he is like how many of us would act if we were stuck in Fromland. For example, at my job I'm on the phone everyday with customers (adults in professional roles) who have the biggest meltdown about the littlest things, which are often their own fault. How would they act in Fromland - probably worse than Jim. He's not written or acted like a super-hero and I appreciate that. Because before I judge Jim too harshly, I have to ask myself, "How would I act in those same circumstances?" In our own personal lives, if we get mad and have humungous meltdowns about mundane stuff like rush hour traffic, the kids not doing their chores, someone cutting you off in traffic, someone parking in your assigned parking stop, how can we fairly criticize Jim? Honestly, would we act any better than Jim if we were in Fromland? Some of us would; but, I daresay, a lot wouldn't.

@kategoddard6944 I hear you & agree, he has made some big mistakes. But I have to give him a little bit of credit where it's due. It didn't seem like Jim had selfish reasons for going to look for Tabitha but rather he saw the state his children were in & knew they needed their mom. And it was the fear of his kids turning into orphans that ultimately led him to abandon the search for Tabitha & go back to his kids. So while he is still a very flawed parent, I gotta give him a tiny bit of credit here.

I think the monsters weakness will be water that’s why Elgin keeps seeing that lady dripping wet and surrounding water and that’s why the monsters are dried out and Fatima getting dehydrated. Maybe they need to be drowned in the brundles, lol

Good point! On the Missing Poster, Donna's last name is Raines, but they haven't seen the Missing Posters. Maybe Tabitha will see a Missing Poster in the "real world". I think Tabitha not knowing Donna's last name was a major clue. If she had Googled Donna's full name, what would she have found? Perhaps she may have found information that is not favorable to Donna. Maybe Donna's backstory is a lie.

I don't believe Thomas is alive, he would have been traveling with them. These demons know too much about these people. We have to figure out this could be? When Jim was sitting in the diner with Tabitha, he confided in her that he was broken. Probably because she blames him for the baby falling from the changing table. Wasn't her dumb ass standing there too? She blames God, maybe the next door neighbor. Everyone but herself. I'm sure whatever is listening heard that as well. He tried to get the tower working and she couldn't even wait to see if would be successful. He is totally alone there with his silly kids that do nothing but b.tch. I hope he gets the bull by the horn and show more of his potential. I think he has a lot. At least I hope so. I guess Dale is be out of colony house jail now.
