My most interesting experience after joining the fintech was when massive layoffs were announced during my onboarding and everyone who interviewed me was let go. I never got to actually work with any of them, lol. 😄What has been your weirdest experience?

That’s a good one JQ, nice break down. The much needed clarity. I think I caught a few also like R&D, hostility, political etc as additional reasons Fintech may just not work out for some, you agree? It is an industry that is constantly evolving, you stagnate, you are done and left behind, both individually and a setup. Now unhealthy competition, unfriendly environment, even political affiliations….boom My weirdest experience will be when I got caught between loyalty and imminent wind up. Evidently my company was done, exit was in the offering but I had to join the captains. That experience mehn……smh

Great additions as usual Nii. Each Fintech or startup will have its unique cultural issues as well. So I totally agree, usually the culture is a reflection of the founders and leadership, lol.
