@@etxpines2748 it’s very common. Footing is there to support the slab, walls etc. also has the rebar embedded into it to tie the rest of the rebar grid to. Sometimes pours can be monolithic but this is more common.

@@JerettFilmsConstruction I’m in east Texas and I used a small track hoe with a 12” bucket and the guy that did the concrete dug it out to 18 by hand. Said that’s what code was in town. Dudes had sharp shooters and a flat blade and dug it quicker than I did with the track hoe lol. Yes they were Mexicans.

@@JerettFilmsConstruction Nice. Mine is 57 x 60 x 14' walls. So no break in roof pitch. My 15" is 5' too short. To give you an idea of how much costs have gone up, I did mine a little over 25 years ago for 20K. I'm sure this was bumping 90k. My mistakes were: Don't use clear panels in roof. Makes it an oven. Ventilate! Without it is an oven. That cheesy 1" insulation? Use it. Without it it is an oven. Great job filming Jerett!

How can you build some thing like this without wind bracing. In Australia we Lock the first section 4 columns 2 trusses with diagonal bracing.it stops the thing from collapsing

Correct. This particular shed used cable bracing, which you can see at the 3:00 of the video. It’s hard to even see it go up, especially in timelapse format, so most of that process was edited out of the video.

I've had a large red iron building built for me, and I've built 1 red iron building myself. This one looks well done, but I noticed the wall purlin spacing looked kind of skimpy. I would expect one at 3 - 4 feet, and 1 at 7-8 ft.

The roof is rated for 69 lbs of wet dirt per square inch. Also, the manual stated that only tractors will be able to drive over this building due to it’s size.

As a steel structure drafter its always nice to see the model coming together into a nice building, nice work! but i presume you are using the straps as bracings while contructing it and removing it afterwards? why not add steel bracings for wind and stability?
