When I first saw the Borg on Star Trek TNG, I thought OK, So they got a bunch of shopping carts in the LA riverbed, took them to a recycler, smashed them into a cube, painted them black, and put Christmas lights on it. And it nearly took over the Enterprise and the universe for two seasons. Then Jeri Ryan came along, on Voyager, and changed my perspective of the Borg. I ended up actually liking and respecting the Borg now. Because I have good reason to do so. Jeri is the bomb! Mike in Fresno, Ca

Loved Seven of Nine, her character was intelligent as well as beautiful. Voyager needed something to keep it going and to help it develop more interesting plots. Scorpion, Dark Frontier, some of Janeway's best scenes were played opposite Seven of Nine. It helped flesh her out as a devoted and courageous Captain and because of all the following encounters with the Borg, she also became the Captain/Admiral who crippled them. Seven was an invaluable character to the series.

Just think about it, usually when great individuals talk about their primary inspirations - it's occasionally their mother, but it usually also includes other thinkers, mentors, philosophers, artists, teachers, friends, leaders, contemporaries, etc, etc. Especially as they grow older. Mothers may bear children, but great thinkers bear ideas that effect entire civilizations and societies.

Kilborn was soooo sure he was going to be the next letterman. He even joked about Jon Stewart getting to ride the daily show into the ground because it would obviously crash after he left. That's Craig Killborn on The Late Late Show; he got it right after he got fired from Comedy Central's "The Daily Show", said something about "blow me" and the country went ballistic. He started that show and had quite a following, which is why he got this show. It lasted a little while, but Stewart took off like a rocket on The Daily Show and Killborn after 5 years lost The Late Late Show to some foreigner.

Personally, in my opinion, their is not much point in saying one gender is greater or inferior than another. It is like saying blue objects are better than red objects. The criteria for what makes one object better than another has to do with far more than color. Likewise, what makes one human great or not probably has to do with far more than what gender it is.

I know she's hot, but didn't realize how gorgeous she is until I see this... how is Craig Killborn have a talk show. He's boring, in this interview he doesn't seem to have a clue of what he's talking about, and he resorts to take a somewhat generalized view of people that watches Star Trek can only be geeks (one and proud of it) and decided just to bash them because he might think that's how the public would react best to.

Furthermore, it doesn't really follow that if one thing is the mother for another it must be superior. Humans evolved from primates, but of course I'm sure you don't think that must mean primates are superior to humans. Glass comes from sand, but of course that doesn't mean sand must be superior to glass. I don't doubt that mothers are important, but I also don't doubt the importance of the individual or the great thinker or mentors that inspired them

I have seen plenty of people make fun of Trekkers in a good way, but this wasn't it. He didnt even bother to learn the most basic things about his guest. Then he tried to get her to call her fans weirdos. I saw something similar with Kate once, and she just held her ground and defended her fans. One ended up with almost no useful information, no interesting conversation, only an attempt to get a cheap laugh at the expense of the fans. What a horse's ass that guy is.

"It's my theory that God created women to make up for his first mistake, MEN." I think their is plenty of evidence to counter that claim - consider that most of the greatest people in history have been men. But, this is probably because the majority of societies have existed as patriarchies - societies where women would lack power and oppurtunities. However, if God does exist, and does not favor men, you must admit it is questionable why he would allow them to accomplish so much to begin with.
