Hello Ammu, I completely understand your frustration, and I agree that the situation is really tough right now. There are hundreds of people with registration waiting for jobs, including Kiwis who studied nursing in New Zealand but still can’t find work. So you can imagine how challenging it is. However, I think there might be some misunderstandings about how the system works in New Zealand. The NCNZ is an independent entity, they don’t offer or guarantee jobs after registration. That’s why it’s essential to research the job market and carefully consider everything before deciding to come to New Zealand. These days, a lot of people are getting registration here just to go and work in Australia, knowing it’s difficult to secure a job in New Zealand. But even in Australia, the nursing job market is getting tighter because of the overflow from New Zealand. The reality is, no one can guarantee jobs in either of these countries, and right now, it just happens to be a difficult time in the cycle for migration. My advice is not to lose hope. Keep applying for jobs in both Australia and New Zealand, and eventually, something will come through. Stay strong!

I guess this job postings are just to attract new applicants to NZ registration.

I would suggest you visit a university or polytechnic website in New Zealand and it will show what courses available for you. You can then discuss with contact person of that section about the course that will suite your degree. A lot of Sws I have seen did programs related to mental health, alcohol and drugs etc. All the best.
It’s very challenging to come here from overseas as an HCA right now. You can still apply for jobs directly through websites like Seek and Trade Me, but don’t pay any money to agencies or anyone claiming to offer HCA jobs, as most of these are scams. Many people here are unemployed, and recently, a lot of those who came on dependent visas are still struggling to find jobs.
