(ADHD version below) Heya, This is an edit of most of Jerma's Dark souls 3 streams. I excluded most of the PvP to focus more on the journey. I feel that makes for a more consistent and enjoyable viewing experience overall. As you can see, this video is still 12 hours long, even with most of the PvP stuff completely cut out. The only full VODs we have of the base DS3 streams are in pretty poor quality, visually speaking. The footage is horribly compressed and locked at 24 fps. Luckily, the audio was pretty well preserved. It's pretty tough to watch, so I actually ran all of the VODs through an AI upscaler, which helped to remove a lot of the compression. There is definitely some strange artifacting going on in certain spots, so it feels more like some sort of avant-garde modern art project at many points. All this considered, I do think that the overall quality is better. If anything, it's a testament to how far we've come with AI. The framerate is still stuck at 24 fps, though I've tried to increase the framerate using AI. Basically, I would have to run 6.5 hours of footage through a program called RIFE, which would probably take around 2 weeks for me to process. That's assuming I don't use my computer for anything else (I do), and that the power doesn't randomly go out (it did), and that the program doesn't crash a single time in that 2 weeks (it has). Also, the fps AI causes significant artifacting. Like, seizure-inducing artifacting on any HUD elements. I could probably edit around that, but it would be a huge undertaking. You can see an example here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/noW5YmqPd7ekh9k ̶F̶i̶n̶a̶l̶l̶y̶,̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶w̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶p̶r̶o̶b̶a̶b̶l̶y̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶m̶y̶ ̶p̶e̶n̶u̶l̶t̶i̶m̶a̶t̶e̶ ̶(̶o̶r̶ ̶m̶a̶y̶b̶e̶ ̶a̶n̶t̶e̶p̶e̶n̶u̶l̶t̶i̶m̶a̶t̶e̶)̶ ̶J̶e̶r̶m̶a̶ ̶H̶i̶g̶h̶l̶i̶g̶h̶t̶.̶ ̶T̶h̶e̶ ̶r̶e̶a̶s̶o̶n̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶m̶a̶n̶y̶ ̶t̶a̶l̶e̶n̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶i̶n̶d̶e̶p̶e̶n̶d̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶e̶d̶i̶t̶o̶r̶s̶ ̶(̶C̶h̶e̶l̶t̶i̶e̶,̶ ̶S̶k̶y̶e̶4̶,̶ ̶G̶o̶l̶d̶e̶n̶W̶i̶n̶g̶e̶d̶,̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶p̶l̶e̶n̶t̶y̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶o̶t̶h̶e̶r̶s̶)̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶a̶c̶t̶i̶v̶e̶l̶y̶ ̶m̶a̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶J̶e̶r̶m̶a̶ ̶h̶i̶g̶h̶l̶i̶g̶h̶t̶s̶,̶ ̶a̶l̶o̶n̶g̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶f̶i̶n̶e̶ ̶f̶o̶l̶k̶s̶ ̶o̶v̶e̶r̶ ̶a̶t̶ ̶2̶n̶d̶ ̶J̶e̶r̶m̶a̶.̶ ̶T̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶c̶o̶u̶p̶l̶e̶d̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶f̶a̶c̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶J̶e̶r̶m̶a̶ ̶s̶t̶r̶e̶a̶m̶s̶ ̶m̶u̶c̶h̶ ̶l̶e̶s̶s̶ ̶f̶r̶e̶q̶u̶e̶n̶t̶l̶y̶ ̶n̶o̶w̶a̶d̶a̶y̶s̶ ̶m̶e̶a̶n̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶i̶s̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶m̶u̶c̶h̶ ̶c̶o̶n̶t̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶m̶a̶k̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶i̶s̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶r̶e̶d̶u̶n̶d̶a̶n̶t̶.̶ ̶T̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶b̶e̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶s̶a̶i̶d̶,̶ ̶I̶ ̶s̶t̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶e̶n̶j̶o̶y̶ ̶e̶d̶i̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶I̶'̶l̶l̶ ̶p̶r̶o̶b̶a̶b̶l̶y̶ ̶k̶e̶e̶p̶ ̶u̶p̶l̶o̶a̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶e̶d̶i̶t̶s̶,̶ ̶b̶u̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶p̶r̶o̶b̶a̶b̶l̶y̶ ̶w̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶J̶e̶r̶m̶a̶ ̶r̶e̶l̶a̶t̶e̶d̶.̶ I hope you enjoy the video. Jerma’s issue with kicks at the start implies he flicks the left stick forward each time he attacks
@aaronyayger3 жыл бұрын
I don't know about that. The game is kinda janky with kicks. Even if you're just holding forward, the game will kick sometimes.

Sometimes you have to be holding forward while attacking so your enemy doesn't stagger out of range of your attacks. Its a very slight difference between flicking left stick or holding it

Very glad this came together as well as it did, especially with all the trouble of the original vods being such low quality, here's hoping it isn't the ultimate end of jerma content, even though I'm still sort of expecting the Sekiro highlight video and you just know jerma is gonna stream Elden Ring. really doubt hed ever pick up ds2 again though. just really any long form jerma game multi-stream is unlikely to happen anytime soon. Here's to Pythanoc!

I will work on Sekiro highlights as soon as I finish the actual game. Did the same for DS3.
