Jerma is the ultimate playtester. Developers should send their games to him to find out what parts are even mildly ambiguous or confusing. For instance, he got confused on how to properly line the keys up in the puzzle with the keys, so they should’ve put little hooks there to hang them on so he knew what spots they could be placed in.

Just in case people wonder: 'retro' is something new that is made to look old, while 'vintage' is something that's at least 20 years old. The next step after vintage is 'antique', which is something that's at least 100 years old. The first electric blender would be considered antique (1922). It's first version was used for milkshakes.

game design student here! some of the puzzles in this game are great, but some of them do a shit job of leading the player toward the solution and don't follow the expectations the game has already set, which can be super frustrating as a player if there's not an indication of *how* the rules need to be broken to solve the puzzle. that's why the squiggly line designs are so frustrating to jerma-- the game shows you that you need to connect them, and then decides that they're just visual flair, and back again.
@kiwamihollie2 жыл бұрын
i was thinking this as well! and like i know nothing abt game design but the way that some levels had a “ding!” when you put something in the correct spot and other levels didn’t? which i get it’s probably because they have multiple solutions for some of them i think,,,, but it’s still a very bizarre decision imo
