From what I`ve seen, if you`re a counselor you need to get out ASAP (call the cops ASAP, get the car/boat fixed up). Jason gets progressively stronger as the game progresses and ends up being able to see everyone and just teleport to them making it like impossible to just run out the clock.

Password 123456 Well there's two teleports: the one in which you fly around, and the one in which you use the map as an interface. Concerning the flying teleport: So here, even if you're conserving stamina, if Jason uses his heatvison powers to spot you far off in the woods, he can fly towards you extremely quickly and instantly grab you. I believe Jerma did this when he rolled Jason. Even if you have a full bar in that scenario you're still dead meat if you get flown toward and instagrabbed. Concerning the map teleport: This one is less of an issue in my opinion but you will still run into scenarios where Jason teleports on top of you simply because he's rotating between the car and telephone checkpoints. Possible Solutions: I don't think a teleporting slasher is a bad mechanic, but I think there are some things you could do to preserve tension that don't result in scenarios such as when a player overpowers and outruns Jason in a harrowing sequence only to have him teleport right behind them and lock them into a death grab. One possible solution would be to make map teleporting more frequent, but take it out of the hands of the player. All players would see a timer for when Jason is going to "appear" somewhere next, creating a gameplay structure of deliberately moving and hiding. As the round would progress, perhaps the timer would shorten, or make it more likely for Jason to spawn near groups of campers. (Not on top of. He should ideally always be out of their range of vision.)

(Old comment but meh.)They should just remove teleport and make Jason move just a little bit faster than all the non-Jason characters. That way if you are smart and use you wits to hide, you will get away from Jason - otherwise if you just try to brainlessly run away he >will< catch you.

If they're going to have a Teleport ability it should only work if A) nobodies looking at you while you do it and B) no ones looking at the spot you're teleporting to. Jason is never seen teleporting in the films, it's just a meta joke he must be able to do it to get to places so fast.

In Part 8 Jason is chasing a guy on the deck of the boat and Jason keeps showing up in front of him no matter what direction he moves in. This all culminates in him climbing up a tower to escape Jason, who is on the ground behind him, only to have Jason already be at the top of it to throw him to his death. The teleportation is there, even if it's totally out of left field and we didn't see him poof into a cloud of smoke.

The teleport is for getting around the map. The Shift is basically jason's "sprint" button, but it feels more like a gokart. They have medium-long cooldowns depending on which jason you use.
