On topic of the mod thing: I was there when they actually banned people for harmless sexual jokes before. They turn on slow mode haywire, then emote only mode and it's really frustrating and annoying to deal with. We all want to interact with Jerma and have fun, imo he needs to remove some of his moderators and replace them with less stuck-up ones. I bet they have good intentions when they moderate the chat, but they should learn to respect their own boundaries and ask themselves "Should I do it?" before they actually ban people over really stupid jokes. They don't look professional by censoring the chat, they look desperate and weak. It just puts to show that they lack perception of what needs moderation and what doesnt and then type things into the Stream chat to talk degradingly about Jerma's fanbase and viewers. If I didn't like Jerma this much, I would minimize the stream chat forever just so I don't have to look at a mod turn on emote-only mode and write really stupid, egotistical stuff to make the viewers look like trash and idiots. Get rid of those mods, seriously. Check whoever speaks of the viewers in such a degrading and unacceptable way and remove them from the staff indefinitely. They should moderate the chat and keep things friendly, not insult the viewers for their sense of humor.

I was in someone else's chat and I made a joke referencing comments he got about being "an entitled gamer" one of his mods banned me despite it clearly being an on topic joke. Most mods don't even get paid yet they do so much. IDK what the deal is with moderators on any platform to be such jerks

I know i'm super late to this discussion but i'm glad i wasn't the only one to be turned off my Jerma's chat. I'm here since 2013 or so, and when i made a twitch account, i was so excited to watch Jerma that i subbed for 6 months and began chatting about the stream. I had a warm welcome but was otherwise turned off by the batman mods. They really strike from the shadows to accomodate Jerma, because such a light hearted persom should not have to deal with chat vs. mods. In the end, i was timed out quite a few times for no reason, and having seen as i spent money to sub, i felt like a terminally online slave. I immediately deleted my twitch account and just continued watching 2nd Jerma. At the time, he was playing this stupid ass sponsored game, and chat kept making remarks as to how quiet Jerma was (with the implication that he didn't want to ruin the sponsorship). I saw people get timed out, and Jerma seemed visibly bored , even saying something like "guys, we need these streams to sponsor the big stuff coming", and he then spoke about the Jerma universe card-game. It felt like the Jerma we see on youtube is heavily edited to remove the parts where he is uncomfortable or bored, and i believe some of it has to do with the third party , in the way the chat can't interact as much with Jerma, they have to say something the Mods like. It felt dirty. I love Jerma, but i'm better off being a lurker.

This discussion is very dumb, Chat is usually the problem here, they cannot chill, laid down and watch the stream without chatting random stuff no one cares. Some streams are more chat friendly than others of course, but this one wasnt one of those. And as a mod how do you even treat with bored chatters that only want attention from the streamer? I think nowadays Chat is way better with Chill streams even though Jerma barely streams. Also the game doesnt help much with all of this because usually games like these are more chaotic so people were expecting something else. People here are too focus on the mods when Jerma is having problems with the chat itself. I’m sorry for Jerma that had to go through a shitty chat experience when he was having fun playing it.

This game isn't exactly bad, it just caters towards a really REALLY niche audience of gamers that love old grid based management games with cheesy monty python type humor. It's like the polar opposite of games like planet zoo/coaster. I personally hate this game with every fibre of my being like a lot of people but I have to say, this game really raised the bar for casual gaming because it's one of the only modern games of it's genre that doesn't have a shit ton of microtransactions, and is well-made too.

Same. Games like this get really boring after awhile due to the streamer focusing on whats going on and not thinking about being funny, hence why linear games that the streamer doesn't have to put too much concentration into tend to be more entertaining.
